Why do we need to embrace the old woman type of faith? Why would God get offended when we try to reason his word authenticity? As human, don't we need to use our reasoning faculty to cope with reality other than blind faith? It's a proven fact in the history mystic philosophy and blind faith hinders human progress. Why should we embrace blind faith of an old women over critical thinking? Doesn't God want us to use reason and logic to understand his word, rather than simply accepting it without question? As humans, aren't we designed to use our reasoning abilities to navigate reality? History shows that blind faith, associated with mysticism, can obstruct human progress.

Sir,strictly speaking,sufism is forbidden in islam. The only relation between Allah and a muslim is that of obedience to Allah,a kind of master-slave relationship.

صوفیاء کی کرامات ۔عبدالوہاب شعرانی متوفی 1565 عیسوی کی کتاب الطبقات الکبری ج ۲، ص ۱۳۵میں سے چند قصے عبدالوھاب شعرانی لکھتا ہے ’’وہ (علی و حیش) جب کسی شہر کے شیخ وغیرہ کو دیکھتا تو ان کو ان کی گدھی سے اتار دیتا۔ اور کہتا کہ اس کا سر پکڑے رہو، تاکہ میں اس کے ساتھ بدفعلی کروں۔ اب اگر وہ شیخ انکار کردیتے تو زمین میں کیل کی طرح گڑ جاتے۔ اور ایک قدم بھی نہ چل سکتے اور اگر بات مان لیتے تو بڑی شرمندگی اٹھانی پڑتی (کہ وہ سرعام بدفعلی کرتا، اور یہ سر پکڑے رہتے) اور لوگ یہ سارا منظر دیکھتے ہوئے وہاں سے گزرتے رہتے۔‘‘ (الطبقات الکبری ج ۲، ص ۱۳۵… صوفیوں کو منکرات سے منع کرنے پر منع کرنے والے پر عذاب ۔ (عبدالوہاب شعرانی متوفی 1565 عیسوی نے ایک ایسے آدمی کا ذکر کیا ہے جس نے سید بدوی کے عرس میں ہونے والے فسق و فجور پر نکیر کی تھی۔ جہاں آج بھی شہر طنطا (مصر) کے اندر لاکھوں انسان جمع ہوتے ہیں۔ اور مردوں اور عورتوں کے درمیان بہت ہی بڑا اختلاط ہوتا ہے۔ بلکہ مسجدوں اور راستوں میں حرام کاریاں ہوتی ہیں۔ رنڈی خانے کھولے جاتے ہیں اور صوفی مرد اور صوفی عورتیں بیچ مسجد میں ایک ساتھ ناچتے ہیں اور ہر حرام کو حلال کیا جاتا ہے۔ اسی کے متعلق شعرانی نے اپنی کتاب ’’الطبقات الکبریٰ‘‘ میں یہ بیان کیا ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے اس فسق و فجور پر نکیر کی تو اللہ تعالی نے اس کا ایمان چھین لیا اور کس طرح چھین لیا۔ شعرانی لکھتا ہے کہ ’’پھر اس شخص کا ایک بال بھی ایسا باقی نہ بچا جس میں دین اسلام کی طرف جھکاؤ ہو۔ آخر اس نے سیدی احمد رضی اللہ عنہ سے فریاد کی۔ انہوں نے فرمایا شرط یہ ہے کہ تم دوبارہ ایسی بات نہ کہنا۔ اس نے کہا جی ہاں۔ تب انہوں نے اس کے ایمان کا لباس اسے واپس کیا۔ پھر اس سے پوچھا تم کو ہماری کیا چیز بری معلوم ہوتی ہے؟ اس نے کہا مردوں اور عورتوں کا میل جول۔ جواب میں سیدی احمد رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا یہ بات تو طواف کعبہ میں بھی ہوتی ہے۔ لیکن اس کی یہ حرمت (احترام) کے خلاف نہیں۔ پھر فرمایا میرے رب کی عزت کی قسم! میرے عرس میں جو کوئی بھی گناہ کرتا ہے وہ ضرور توبہ کرتا ہے اور اچھی توبہ کرتا ہے اور جب میں جنگل کے جانوروں اور سمندروں کی مچھلیوں کی دیکھ بھال کرتا ہوں، ان میں سے بعض کو بعض سے محفوظ رکھتا ہوں تو کیا اللہ تعالیٰ میرے عرس میں آنے والے کی حفاظت سے مجھے عاجز اور بے بس رکھے گا۔ (طبقات الکبریٰ ج ۱ ص ۱۶۲(

In Quran we are commanded not to divide ourselves into sects. Thus dividing our religion into sects is against God's command. Those who divide into sects are termed as idol worshippers, and not members of God's religion. [6:159] Those who divide themselves into sects do not belong with you. Their judgment rests with GOD, then He will inform them of everything they had done. [30:31] You shall submit to Him, reverence Him, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and - whatever you do - do not ever fall into idol worship. [30:32] (Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have. [42:14] Ironically, they broke up into sects only after the knowledge had come to them, due to jealousy and resentment among themselves. If it were not for a predetermined decision from your Lord to respite them for a definite interim, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the later generations who inherited the scripture are full of doubts. We learn from above that dividing religion into sects is akin to falling into idol worship, an unforgivable sin (if maintained to death). It doesn't matter what a person calls his or her sect, it is not authorized by God. God condemns all sects.

This is true, Allah is taking away knowledge and those who possess it. Not true aalim are there any more, we lack knowledge, and those who have slightly more are now considered Aalim.

I only know I am a Muslim, a follower blessed under ummah of our beloved prophet Mohammad & our all prayers, belief & final return is & for & towards Allah. Yes, Fitna was the only way to create misunderstandings & doubts to try find what’s absolute & who’s absolute. The fact is the very thought of being absolute or being perfect is an evil. Only allah is perfect & the only absolute among human is prophet Muhammad (though he is noor of allah and most dear to allah, Masha allah). So what I mean is prophet Mohammad through his teachings tried to show us the life to live with complete fairness & justice. No one can say we followed better or you are a better follower . In the world of fitna I could say, instead of falling in doubts, seek knowledge, read translation of Quran, pray, zakat, for every action ask from allah, and be patient to whatever happens to you, ask forgiveness from allah, DO NOT LIE , DO NOT GOSSIP, DO NO CREATE DISPUTE between two people, DO NOT TAKEOVER someone’s right or possession. First follow the commands given by allah, then live life explained by our beloved prophet Mohammad & that most best. Because we do not have the right to judge anyone but only allah can. Do good deeds & tell others to do good deeds. How one can become the favourite of allah given in Quran, we don’t have to follow someone & their path that they are absolute. Do justice, don’t lie, be patient. May allah guide us all. I ask apology from allah of anything wrong I mentioned here.

this guy knows nothing about Sufism. Read Chittick Self Disclosures of God. I have been studying ibn al Arabi's writings for 15 years and I work (or try) to work 100% on myself. God brought every person even this guy into existence because God loves all us. The battle is within not without, and this is what every Sufi would say. ibn taymeh, ibn alqayem, and imam muhammad bin abdulwahab , if u study their books and read them i guarntee you you will get rid of any psycholoigical problems, and you will become very sharp in your intellect. fix your aqeedah, worship Allah properly to end your suffering. thing you notice after learning and studying 1- stronger personality 2- ability to public speak with ease 3 -less fear of death 4- easily recover from injuries because when you have correct aqeedah you know Allah respond to your daua, you are praying to the most generous. 5- you realize how atrocious sins are and its impact on your life, you start to lessen them gradually throughout the years of studying 6- any health problems that you used to have the in the past will improve or heal in sha allah 7- you will accept situations that happens in your life with ease, you will no longer think about "what ifs" 8- and most important, you will recognize which sheikhs that you listen too have correct aqeedah or not, it will help you take the good and leave the bad off any sheikh or any person you meet 9- you will start folowing the sunnah and taking great care of it, you will hate trimming your beard, you will feel bad when someone you love doesnt follow sunnah and you will advice them, and you feel better when you see someone following the sunnah. 10- you will become a good advicor to those around you 11- your integrity will improve 12- you will start to hate lying and liars 13- you will maintain morning and night azkar religously 14- you will maintain your reading of quran religiously 15-you will readh hadith everyday and learn tafseer and other islamic science. 16- you will finish reading quran at least once a month 17- you will maintain reading surah baqrah regurarly 18- you will do zikr more 19- you will do a lot of salwat on nabi (Abrahamic prayer) which is based on saheeh hadith how prophet muhammad taught his companion to make salwat on him.

I could say if we had a massive SHORTAGE of scholars but here we are. What wasn't good enough yesterday becomes acceptable today.... Every time I revisit, Hamzah Yusuf is a new man.... keeping up can become a questionable challenge!

If you remove the concept of Wahid ul Wajood ( unity of existence), there is no Sufism. In Sufism, when one dies, they say wasaal has happened. The word wasaal means joining, and entering that deceased has joined with Allah ( Allah forbid). To make things more clear, they celebrate Urs every year. Urs meaning marriage. So this concept goes against Surah Ikhlas. Huwa, meaning He indicates that Allah Almighty is separate from His creation. There is none comparable to Him. Here, the wjole concept of entering joining and marriage, which is the product of Wahid ul Wajood, is negated in Surah Ikhlas. Inner purification takes place by reciting the verses of the Quran. Surah Ale-Imran verse number one hundred and sixty-four says Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from among themselves, rehearsing onto them Signs of Allah, purifying them, and teaching them the book and wisdom, while before that, they had been in manifest error. May Allah give us guidance. Ameen.
