ASMR Inline Skate Rebuild : 90s K2 250cc
Oh the gradification of a new pair of skates, OR an old pair of skates. The process from storage to skating again can be a great feeling. How? When searching eBay for inline skates the rabbit hole you can find you some great gems. In this case I stumbled across a brand new set of frames for my old K2's just sitting in a box in my garage. While most people never knew you could even switch the frames out on the K2's it was my surprise that some popped up on the net. Well I snagged them to make this video and breathe some ANEW reimagined life into them. Enjoy!

ABQ Indian School Ditch on INLINE Skates

We took some Blades down the famous Indian School Ditch in Albuquerque NM. If your here chances are you have herd of it. We were able to make it down over a mile of smooth run but the water in the ditch stopped us due to the time of year (JUNE). is that soft boot with hard plastic attached? I own 3 pairs of K2 soft boots, but none of them looks like that. K2 aesthetics looks nice!
Yeah the king 55 were the full soft boot ones. With just soul/ frame plastic

are the velcro straps backwards, or on the wrong boots in the end? i would think they should lay the same way as the ratchet closures so they don't catch or come undone if your boots touch
You’re probably right. This is the way I always set them up and it feels ok to me. Maybe I’ll give that a try.

i mostly skateboard, but i did have whatever the green/tan k2s back then were called
“Back yard Bobs” where those. Yeah they were the best price ones. These came out a few years later.
The original fatty up to the modern era k2 aggressive skates are some of the best feeling and performing skates I’ve ever used. Please come back k2 we love you
They still kinda make some. But they do not feel at all the same. I bet if enough people made a stink they would come back. I’m sure they are doing ok in the snow world and won’t bother much with inline anymore.

Growing up as a kid these are my dream skates (still are) But I settled with a pair of Salomon Aaron Feinberg they did good. But never had that yellow haha

@@anewproducts I just fished these out my garage and am taking them apart today and had no idea the boot came off completely. Unfortunately a squirrel got in to the liners and now the upholstery is peeling off and gummy. Any tips?

Just be careful with those cuffs 😬
Haven’t had any trouble with the cuffs. Just the older foam. It’s not held up as good over the years. Still comfy though.
@@anewproductsyea, the foam gets a little crusty. But trust me, the cuffs will crack in due time. Just be mindful/careful

They are. You can feel your boot down on the backslide plate. Makes the felling of locking a trick more visceral.
I love skate ASMR. The red 250 is one of my top 3 favorite skates of all time. The quality of those skates and ingenuity was way ahead of its time.

Man its good seeing Luke. Havent seen him since we were kids. Last time i saw him, we all got let go at a school in dtown for skating it and he almost got arrested for hiding. Not skating. Hiding. We hung out that whole day mostly while everyone else skated and he was casted up. Hilarious. If you see this im glad your doing good. Hope you remembered that. Great video.
