I very sad to hear that has happened. Iam sad to say I know the feeling. I remember the first day that he was not the first thing on my mind when I would wake up. It was a few hours after I got up one day and I was at work before I thought, "Daddy's dead" The feeling of guilt was tremendous. You will never get over it but you will get used to the reality that he is gone.

@@TeddyRayThomas Thank you Teddy. Your kind and compassionate words mean a lot. He was 87 and had dementia for the last 3 years so I knew it was coming. He was comfortable at the end. My mom passed 2 years ago at 92. I am an only child so losing them both has been hard, despite their ages. They adopted me when I was almost 5 and they're the only family I had. No siblings or extended family around. Just the 3 of us. They lived full lives and both slowed down only about 5 years ago. My dad passed on the date they adopted me. Their wedding anniversary was the day after that. So my dad crossed over just in time to join my mom on the other side for their anniversary.

I wish I had said the "LOVE" word to all of those I was friends with down thru the decades. I buried all my closest friends by 2005. Never told them. "Just another mile marker on the highway of regrets." Decent line lol. Songs I don't write full. I come up with lines and explain to them where I am coming from . Then they have a few lines and the background. I am a credited writer on several songs. "Smokin' Bluegrass" is my favorite lol. Well I guess I will see you on the tube. Bye
