Great video. As a group we seem to all look for perfection in our woodworking. That table looks awesome and thank you for sharing your on how you found the build.
@@fathogwoodworking thank you. Really appreciate it. It was a challenge for sure 😊
Great video, lovely table
Thank you really appreciate it ☺️
Perhaps your best video to date, full of relatable moments that any maker has either experienced, or continues to experience, every time in the shop. The end table was stunning, but the journey that took you there, perhaps, is even better.
Thanks man. Appreciate it. Was a crazy build and an even crazier journey 😊 thanks for taking the time to watch the video
Thanks for talking about this, just today I was having the imposter effect and drowning in my fear of not being ready until everything is perfect to take on the next big moves between hobby to fully kicking off my small business and pressure to produce. I guess I need to find a support network of woodworkers. Any recommendations of where to join?
@@tereg5 thank you really appreciate it. I found mine on social did a couple of courses and just connected with people. Patrons sometimes are great as well. And not to forget local woodworking expos. Really appreciate your time watching my video. Glad you got something out of it ☺️

Excellent video! How much dust escapes in air for those working in a home kitchen when using orbital mode and vacuum is attached?
@@jasoncollins6377 thank you appreciate it. I always recommend to wear PPE but I sanded our kitchen counter recently and wasn’t really any crazy dust build up anywhere. Open the windows after and air it out should be fine.
@@coolabahwoodworking Much appreciated!
@@jasoncollins6377 anytime man. Let me know how you go with your project
👍
Great simple solution! As I watched the video & began to add the vertical hinged support, I was thinking, now he's gonna blow them away....but then the new support was only a foot high & vertical! I was thinking you were going to make your vertical about 18"-24" long & add a 2x4 angle brace @ a 45° or 60° back up to the boom. Would take stress off your hinges & screws & transfer into the steel angle shelving oost & make the boom more rigid & not sag in the future.(if boom is intended to be permanent or you want to add additional upgrades). Just a thought.
@@cjcmusic52 great idea. It hasn’t sagged yet it’s work better than i thought to be honest 🤣 but i was thinking of permanently hanging all my sander there and if i do that it will need more support for sure. Thanks for watching the video really appreciate it ☺️
I don't like when the led's are actually seen. I just like the light with no visible bulbs.
@@iMakeFunWithFish that’s a good one. Do you recommend a to put a cover on it? I hoped it would disappear when I inlaid it.
@@coolabahwoodworking I have zero experience but I am planing on doing something similar. I was thinking maybe making a canal in the wood and put LEDs in so they are deeper and not seen so much. Diffusion cover would also work I guess. 🤷♂
@@iMakeFunWithFish great idea. I think the cover is the way to go or more high quality LEDs. Some of them are better out of the box defusing things. I have planned another lamp soon. Haven’t built one in a while 😁 will yours be round?
@@coolabahwoodworking Great work, by the way! I'm still watching a lot of videos to learn as much as possible before diving in. I have some old film canisters and cassettes that I'd like to display in epoxy with LED lighting. I'm still in the planning stages, so it will probably take a while. Thank you. Glad it was helpful. First time I tried a video like this.
I tried biscuit joining, it didnt work for me, they crumbled under pressure. Are you using the Arnott's brand?
Oh wow that’s crazy. No I used Ryobi I think for the biscuits. They are really good for alignment but the majority of the holding power comes from the glue. Mine is holding strong but I am building about 10 more soon and will keep testing the in different scenarios. Thanks for the feedback. 😂😂😂 i don’t know who told you that (me) but in transparency for UA-cam and being honest I have to say…. Thanks for watching again 😁
Really super idea 💡 for circle...frm INDIA....can reused again for another project
Thank you yes you can reuse it :)
Awesome Thom. I found ways to work without a table saw for nearly 5 years, and the mitre saw was a big part of getting around that. I use a T track stop block, never missed the extended fence. Great work using the floor sweep as the dust catcher!
Thanks man. Oh that was that thing 😂😂😂 it is working really well for that. That is awesome I think I am actually going for the T track.
Fantastic new video Tom! I've been wanting to do that dust collection for my miter saw as well, your idea is brilliant and turned out so well! Also, love hearing what you have planned for the shop! and Oh, excellent high tech brush technique to get rid of that dust! Ha Funny man, just excellent material you are creating and I really enjoy watching your channel grow. Looking forward to more bud! Cheers from a sunny Vancouver afternoon.
Compared to your content we are all amateurs! Thanks for kind words though 😂
Great job it looks great
Thank you ☺️ appreciated it
11:30 I run the same saw with no extraction… thats amazing that thats all the dust 😮😮 great job!
Thank you. Yeah it worked quite well. Big one is the fine dust is almost all gone. I also did like 25-30 cuts to get that shots.
Nice mitre station looks really functional. Well done.
Thank you. It is. Starting to love my setup 😂
Install a T track along with a fence, it only improves the setup just that much more. I have a Bosch miter saw and stand, wished I had a 2nd Bosch miter saw. Mine has almost no footprint, doesn't have the slider bars like yours does.
Thank you. Great suggestion. Lee from busted buckle did a great video on mobile setup. If you are in a shop that has to be packed up (garage) that would be the way to go. Any suggestion on a fence? Thanks again 😊
@@coolabahwoodworking Your fence can match up with the fence on the miter saw but I'd suggest adding a T track on the top side of your fence as well. Gives you extra add-ons that can be quite useful for future uses. MDF or ply would be best options since they're stable.
@@Ham68229 thank you ☺️
