Story goes like this. Both are top high school players in the nation. Q’s path to success is different than Monica’s. Q would have been a one and done athlete. No matter how he did in college he would have went to the nba and cashed in. He made a lot more money than Monica but Monica is more successful in her sport. This is the wedge that is driven between them.

This was mine and my HS sweethearts “movie”. We met thru basketball and both were super competitive and best on each team. We strongly identified with this movie. Still hard to watch bc of how much it reminds me of us.
