Be careful not to run away too far from ur quest location btw, else ur quest will fail automatically once u activated the yellow thing. If ur down to the last zombies, the quest will show them ur location on the compass. But doing quests is a very good option, especially for jen, she is nice and has the biggest chance to have meds and antibiotics as a reward and for sale.

The trader always teleports u off his property if u get too close to it from 21:50 to 06:05, when he is closed. That was a feature, not a bug. ^^

Thanks for mentioning me. ^^ But u can still use the nights for cleaning up crafting and upgrading ur base, or later mining underground in a secured mine, while killing the occasional zombie through wooden bars with arrows from above or below. If u have mastered the game and are kitted out and skilled, u can even go looting at night. To get wooden bars - Select a wooden frame shape in ur hotbar and press R to open the radial menu. (Also possible with ranged guns, bows and crossbows to change ammo type, for example from stone arrows to iron arrows.) There u select the shape menu and there u can search for wood bars. With R - Advanced rotation u can rotate it in ever possible direction using leftclick, with R - on Face u can put ur block on the face of the block ur looking at with R - copy rotation u can copy the rotation of the block ur looking at and with R - copy shape u can copy the shape of the block ur looking at, if possible.

U havent reached it yet in ur new home base. There is a torch outside leding the way. Also, u need to clean up ur home. All that trash on the ground prevents u from putting stuff down and attracts zombies when u walk over it, way too noisy. For storage, if u find nails, u can craft "Writeable storage boxes", but for now, nomal chests must do the trick.

Nice. But a bone knife, a stone spear, a wooden club, baton, leather knucklewraps or a stone sledgehammer as actual weapons would do more damage than a tool like the stone axe. Try all of them, then choose the one that seems most fitting. Knife adds bleed damage and slows them while bleeding while having lowest stamina cost and fastest attack speed, but lowest knockback, so u have to fight while moving backwards to avoid hits. Sledgehammer has highest stamina cost and slowest attack speed, but best knockback and damage and oneshot potential with headshots. Especially the heavy attack (rightclick).
