Ford 8000 and Ford 4000 mowing and tedding hay
Great to see old ford tractors still doing a day's work. I have a 1989 TW 35 4WD here in the UK and its still going strong 💪
Nice camera work outside the tractor... I was so afraid for the dog when he ran alongside the disc, he must be a pretty smart dog to stay away.. What an annoying ringer on that phone at 4:16
Love to see the TW in action! How is the 8730 coming along?
Oh god, every time they think they figured it out it throws more codes, now the gearshift got rebuilt and we lost reverse, 1 to 6 and 18th gear, it’s back at the new holland dealer gonna get a new wire harness, gotta lift the cab to install it
Can you help me with engine timing. My ford tw35 gets hot pulling a 36 blade disc so we run slow and still. Fuel consumption is high. Can you help me plz
Ours had that problem when we first bought it, we ended up taking the thermostats out and our radiator looked like someone pressure washed it sideways, I had to get a radiator comb and straighten everything out, haven’t had any problems since then
@@stevemorlock does it run without thermostats?
Yea, ours has for many years now, gauge stays right in the middle now . Give it a try. Another thing it could be is if your fan clutch isn’t engaging. We’ve replaced them on both out 35 and 25 but ours locked on though, or your radiator is really plugged up
@stevemorlock thank you i appreciate it
What rpm do you run it at? And what size disc would you pull with the fort tw35? If i may ask have you ever had to do work to the engine and if you dit what was the timing on the engine? My tw35 tend to run hot and it strugles to pull a 36 blade disc.
Usually around 2000 rpm’s we pull a 25’ disk, never messed with the engine
@@stevemorlock thanks. What temp does it run?
How many acres of corn do you guys have this year?
Not to much, only 40 acres
@@stevemorlock nice in total we had 90 40 was silage 50 is combine corn
Your recent videos have been really boring I’m gonna need something better than this
😆I’ll try to spice it up for my India audience
Finally. A real video of how us non chest thumbed farmers work Thank you I have same vintage equip.
Thanks
Great video, reminds me of the days on the farm working in the field at night.😊
Thank you, I’ve always liked shelling corn at night
Corn looks really good
Thanks
You guys are going to be done early this year!
Finished this afternoon, finally a year with no ruts and no mud on the combine
@@stevemorlock Good for you guys!
Awesome video
Thanks
I never get tired of watching your Fords in the field!
Thanks
You guys don't mess around. We just fired up the old 1666 today and got 2 fields cut.
We’ve been moving right along, can’t ask for better harvest weather, perfect
U need to get ur hands on a Ford combine 😊
Oh man!! A couple guys around us use to have them many years ago, I think there’s still one a few miles from us, don’t think it’s getting used anymore though
This made my day I’ve been wanting to paint my box’s Ford blue for a while now looks awesome
😆 it’s a great color
I like to see the blue ladys working . Regards from germany
Thanks for watching
Your dad was a good fella..... always enjoyed talking with him.... he'd be happy you guys kept the farm going. Take care
Thanks Rob
Looks like you have a healthy crop.
Yea. Really good year
Don’t see a lot of the narrow front fords
We just put it on last week, kinda like the wide front better but it’s pretty cool
Nice square cornered bales
that baler does a good job
Like the narrow front. My dad bought a new 4000 in 1966 and again in 1971. Both were diesel and wide front. Thanks for sharing this beautiful photo with us. Brings back memories.
@@raymiller9391this one is a 1966 that my dad bought new too, good old tractor
Sounds like you have the same luck as me...... everything has been broken down here.... it's only money 👍🤣🤣🤣
Yup, we can always make more
Nice to see Ford tractors still working! You keep them clean too. Dad said it’s more fun to run a clean tractor than a dirty one!
Thanks, we usually pressure wash them a few times a year, gotta hide the oil leaks
Thanks for the update, sorry about the bad luck lately!
We’ll get everything going again, still working out 8730 problems but think we found the bad part
Love ford tractor s
Thanks
What year is this combine?
I think it’s a 1992
Dónde se consiguen
operatornya tidak pakai topi, apa nggak kepanasan? 😂
Around 84 degrees Fahrenheit
Do you call that ploughing?
Plowing is predominantly used in 🇺🇸 American (English ) while ploughing is predominantly used in 🇬🇧 British English . I believe we changed the word somewhere around 1776 😆
@@stevemorlock l was more referring to the quality of the ploughing than the wording
Yup, the dirts turned over and disked up very nicely and will be planted in a few weeks. That’s clay soil that hasn’t been touched in over 25 years
Always admired those Ford flat decks
Just when Ford got passed the 6000 debacle and started making a really good tractor again....they quit the business.
Oh yea, love the 70 series they ended with. Good looking tractors. I’d love to find a decent 6000 just to have though
Nothing like ford tractors sod busting!! Lol 😂
You got that right!
i reconized the ihc plows what was the other i always liked to go 8/10 inches deep
The other 2 are Case plows, not sure of the model numbers
Man that looks like it's terribly dry.....was trying to figure out where you were at?
we just had 2 inches of rain a few days ago, not sure where that went. That’s on station around capel, old farm with houses on it now, we bale hay next to this and he’s sick of mowing this 4 acres so we’re putting clover and Timothy in it.
@@stevemorlock gotcha..... don't take long for people to get tired of mowing... costs a lot of money to do that many acres with a lawnmower 👍😂😂
how many horses and what is the name of the engine
It’s supposed to have 110 HP. It’s a 401 cubic inch engine made by Ford
@@stevemorlock Thank you very much, I hope you have a complete 8000 tractor repair video. blessings
It is an iconic ford model in India especially in Punjab and Haryana states.
Never was sure about the benefits of tedding, seems to me it just knocks more leaves from the hay.
We always do it right after the haybine, I imagine it probably knocks leaves off if the hay was dryer, it really makes the hay dry fast though
@@stevemorlock I never dealt with hay, but after watching a lot of videos I have learnt a few things, though this is the first I heard the benefits of tedding. I was thinking it was the way to loosen and redistribute the hay to where more air could get to the hay. I don't nor will ever do hay, but it's fun to learn some things I don't already know.
I remember our FFA class at school we had a kerosene fueled steam cleaner we used on the tractors before they got painted. And I use to love our drive your tractor to school day.
I just love these big Fords. Every year when I go to the tractor pulls at my local fair there are two and it does my heart good to watch them pull.Thankyou great video.
We’ll be pulling in our fairs pull in 2 weeks, always fun
Love seeing those classic FORDS in action.
That’s some awesome ford action
😆
I love those 6y Ford Row crops.
Rowing up with a Vicon Acrobat behind a tractor that's the right size for the job 👍
Nope to us he is raking hay.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv To us We mow or cut grass to make hay. Not like you say cut hay to make hay.
Always on hot days. Memories. Thanks to you, and all the other farmers. We need you!
Thanks a lot. We definitely appreciate it
HOSS
Do you need help
❤❤❤
If the buzzards are circling ... somebody needs to check on your neighbor.🤣🤣👍
Bald Eagle is amazing. Saw one at Columbia Reservation a few years ago.
We have one that’s been hanging around here lately
I work in repairing diesel engines, arrangements and agricultural machinery. I am looking for a job opportunity
It's a beautiful family
