I actually got my first direct x error tonight whilst streaming, I tabbed out to change the song and it crashed when going back in, happend twice in 2 hours.

@ about the asus motherboard when u go to secure boot and is on there is a config name OS Type u need to put in Windows UEFI Mode to work i found that in videos on how to enable secure boot on my motherboard

Hey I did a similar upgrade 6700k 1080ti windows 10 to 9800X3D 1080ti windows 11. Experienced the same issues on Windows 11, went back to Windows 10 and have been able to run 5 benchmarks in a row without issue, whereas on windows 11 the most I got was 2 with an immediate crash afterwards. Can't say how it will look during long sessions at the moment, but it "seems" to have fixed it for me. Hope this helps

@ yeah, ima download all drivers that I may be missing and attempt again. If all else fails I’ll do windows 10 again.

Big time agree with this. That's when my crashes started, because I had none before that, and I'm running an i9 12900K with a 5-yr aged MSI 2070 Super and it handles the game on maxed out settings in 1080p at around 100 fps, until the crashes started right after that update. I hope they fix it soon. Even the update today didn't address the issue for me.

Me too tried everything and still even tho I got 4090 and playing lowest settings with lower resolution also

The error specifically refers to a windows multimedia problem, hence me checking the crash reports which point at some form of memory leak potential about to happen due to background programs, which should never be the case.

Impossible to say, but I am certain B06 can be patched to resolve this error someway.

I have this problem with 3070 . I tried to solve the problem all day. I formatted my computer 6 times. I even tried old Windows and driver versions. I think we have no choice to wait for the new driver update.😓

I have a 6950xt and have the same issue. Had it last year and continued on to this year. I’ve seen a lot of people with the 6950xt having the issue. Hope they will fix it but knowing they didn’t last year not much hope for us.

However, one thing that causes me a bit of confusion is the suggestion by others to reduce overclock settings for components like RAM, GPU, and CPU. From my experience, when we enable XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile) to overclock RAM, it often indirectly overclocks the CPU as well, since they share the same memory controller. This could potentially affect stability, especially if the CPU is pushed beyond its optimal limits. @@2ezBovl I am looking into this and the crash reports impactl, this issue has been known since the early days of modern warfare and does seem more common amongst AMD users, I will make a video soon updating on my progress and additional steps I have taken to improve the situation.

Absolutely sometimes a valid solution, It could be the driver is configured badly therefore not supporting overclocking.

@@jhue73 Yes an element is your game, but are you even aware that most graphic cards software overclocks your card automatically, therefore causing the crash. If you want to play the game this is a potential solution.

@@Insightfultv if you want your card to use the stock speeds you should use the standard bios switch thats on the card by the power connectors. if the card was crashing it would make your desktop crash but it does not and there is no amd graphics error. just keep playing you will still get this error. ive tried lowering the speeds and it does not work. this game is garbage just like they all have been. you are basically a beta tester now days and you're not getting paid to play this garbage. there are thousands of people with this issue so dont keep blaming the card. these greedy corporations dont give a rats about their products only the next dollar.

@@jhue73 I concur, however this is a fix for some, and why go into the bios when you can alter within the AMD software. The responsibility lies squarely with the developers and publishers to deliver a stable, well-optimised product. Releasing a game in this state and expecting players to find workarounds is disrespectful to consumers and damages the franchise's reputation. Instead of accepting this as normal, the gaming community should demand better quality control, more thorough testing, and timely patches to address these issues. No amount of BIOS tweaking or other technical workarounds can excuse the fundamental problem of releasing an unstable product
