I genuinely can’t express how much i love Call me by your name. It will forever be my favorite movie, and i’m not the type to rewatch movies or reread books, but it’s way different with cmbyn. the movie itself has possibly the most beautiful cinematography i’ve ever seen, and such a complex yet simple story line. It isn’t a movie blatantly about a queer relationship, but about the beauty in grief and how pain is an emotion we all have to experience. it allows you to convey Elio’s emotions through your own. It shares that a relationship is more than just words, but it flourishes on silence and physical touch, and sometimes even ignoring. It’s a intimate movie but yet a very innocent boyish movie. i find the move to be a great representation of boys being boys, how Elio and Oliver are rough edged with eachother. I just absolutely love cmbyn and sufjan stevens, and when i had seen that he was doing the soundtrack, i died. I think he did an amazing job with making the soundtrack one of a kind, and allowing the songs to convey the same aesthetic as the movie. I just really love cmbyn.
