Even if he’s a hardened gang boss, Benjamin is actually a cool guy to hang around with and have conversations about life. He was childhood friends with Julius and he still got a photo of them in their youth and he still cherish their friendship despite being in rival gangs. He actually did his best to look out for Warren and encourage him to sit back and let things play out but he refused to shut up and listen for once and his own mouth proved to be downfall.

They butchered Dex in the sequel. The writers really messed up
