Wish there were more episodes from the 86-87 heats where Response involved physical challenges. This one involved racing to the podium on arm-leg bike powered carts (w/ its speed based on maintaining a certain rate pedaling w/ their arms and legs rather than just speed), then hitting the button of the predominant color on the video wall’s perimeter (racing to get 10 right answers). The other one I believe involved performing the Fleischmann Flexibility and Minnesota Manual Dexterity tests, traversing balance beams between each station.
This year was well known for the only and first ever female winner in Marian chanter with a female runner up in Alison heath. Girl power series for sure.
Funny how programmes from the past bring back memories from that time. I remember monday evenings during my school days with this on. Hard to believe its 30 years ago.
Too much of a head start for the lady

The assault course is punishing in itself , added with the extra pressure of soldiers from the PTC bellowing orders from the sidelines.

Everyone looks 10 years older than they are. The 80’s were hard!!
Jesus. They all look over 40. Life was tough back then I'm assuming.
Yeah that Richard claims to be 25. More like 45
I think it's the clothes, hair and moustaches that makes them look older.
