This channel was started by Corrin Strong and Howard Appell, two former journalists who worked together on a weekly newspaper in Geneseo, New York. Corrin owned and served as Publisher and Editor of The Lake and Valley Clarion from 1989-2007 and Howard worked as a reporter there from 1995-2005. Both have a life-long interest in music.
Some of their other videos can be seen on their Rumble channel of the same name.Because of their strong political views, many of their videos can not be posted on UA-cam, or in some cases, edited versions are posted here on UA-cam, with the uncensored version posted on Rumble.
As of Aug. 2022, Howard's Health did not permit him to continue making videos. Since that point Corrin has been mainly going it alone, but does bring in other guest "Old Men," from time to time.

In light of Chris Webby's statement in his most recent video that he voted for Trump in 2020, we look back at his Raw Thoughts IV issued in October of that year for clues as to how this one-time Bernie Bro evolved into a fervent Trumpster.
There are many indications in this video that he was beginning to question his life-long identification as a Democrat as a result of policies adopted during the pandemic. Obviously that evolution has continued in the last 4 years.

At the start when you ask for the symbolism, If you are referring to the Starwars line "Jedi's lying dead while the Sith grow roots" I believe it means something along the lines of "All the heroes and good people are staying quiet and playing dead while the evil people grow in power, good vs evil, Jedi vs Sith." In my eyes at least. If you meant the John Wilkes Booth line he means if you be too good of a person, you'll be assassinated. Ties into when he says "try to speak the truth, they'll Anthony Bourdain you. Hang you. Use suicide to explain you." With him obviously being found hung and lots of people thinking it's foul play and staged. I first heard Captain Beefheart in about 1968, and I just couldn't get enough of his music. I lived in the UK, and was into prog rock at the time, so Beefheart wasn't too much of a leap into the unknown.

I think the focus of the song is to point out the over-sensitivity of our society and this song is a giant troll, basically telling everyone to toughen up. He is saying everyone needs me (Tom), because he is saying all the things people hate because they need to hear it and understand that they are just words. Words are just words and they only have the power you give them and the more people hear them, the more desensitized they will become to them.
Perhaps, but I think it is strange that the title phrase is perhaps the least audible words in the song. Normally you would put a lot of emphasis on the title so people would remember it. If he hadn't named the song that I wouldn't have heard it at all!
