@@FighBat for no SA runs it's defintely worth doing, I'm not sure if it has an application for SA, might be just as fast or even slower than mts chaining

I will say, when I read this was gonna be a story mode cup I was really hoping to see all the story mode tracks. The canyon with its boulders, exploding under a speed track with its narrow sections, and the escape the death star with its closing walls would all be very interesting to see with 30 enhanced difficulty AI filling the tracks

@@happylion1859 it's possible to use the other tracks but the problem is they're not circuits, they only have a single lap and there's currently no way to change the lap count so you complete lap 1 by reaching the finish line and then fall off track

@@GrayFoxGXwould still be neat to just see the havoc of all those vehicles on such chaotic courses haha. But yah, unfortunate there’s no way to get a real finish line for those. I’m just curious if the AI can even handle courses AI were never on such as the one with the bomb and closing doors

Also it’s cool to see such a quick comment on a year old vid for such an old game. Good to see there’s still such cool fzero content people make. If you haven’t seen or heard of it yet, you should check out aero gpx. Incredible fan game that feels like a wonderful love letter to GX

@@ChompsOnTheLoose glad this helps a little. Some machines can easily lose grip if you start strafing while already turning, Death anchor being one of those. So you are either sure you can make a turn with just the stick, or you should perform multiple small quick turns. Going from normal turn to quick turn is easy to mess up You'll get the feeling for it in time. It took me a while to beat this ghost, it was done by a very skilled dev

Yea true. It should feel weird seeing two flames but you get so used to it that the single exhaust flame feels odd

Awful track but one where you can get easy top 10 placement just by getting a clean run with all dash plates, little advanced tech needed. I think skivekt shows even better how important just clean lines are, my run is barely faster and he doesn't even go for sbs

after playing GXtreme for a while you get used to randomly being shot off the track. Coincidentally, there is a shortcut on this course used in speedrunning at the exact spot the AI knocked me off track, so I instinctively knew what to do.

it's a bug that sometimes happens but only on emulator. their machine just goes off the screen at light speed before the countdown finishes lol

Acceleration in this game works by pushing your machine towards its top speed. This is also true when you're above the top speed, so letting go of the accelerator will actually decrease the rate at which you lose speed

Yes! More serious answer : I'm satisfied when the difficulty matches my skill level. So whenever I improve, I tweak the difficulty to make the AI challenging again. Imo a game is most fun when it's neither too easy nor too hard, and that of course depends on the current skills of the player so having options to tweak it is nice

@GrayFoxGX I respect your response. To be honest I don't mind capping the difficulty since I play most games to have fun rather than being competitive. To me it gives me this sense of Accomplishment or Mastery feeling.

@@SpikeThePorcupine23 that is totally fine. Games are meant to be entertainment after all, so everyone needs to play them the way they want.
