She is the true definition of an Artist
This makes me cry very time 😢
This one always makes me cry . I was a little girl when i first heard Dolly . I fell in love instantly . Today i still adore her songs
Perhaps the sweetest country song ever produced
What's really sad is that there are moms and dads just like this, neglecting their kids. What a crime! I can't hear this song without breaking down with tears. Saddest song EVER! I love it, although it makes me cry. The saddest thing is that it is based on truth.
This song creeped me out the first time I heard it. And it still does. The gingerbread and candy bit was straight out of Hansel and Gretal. The witch was a kindly looking older woman who aye children after abusing them. Nothing cute about it.
This is my favorite song ❤
I read about this song. It said the little girl and Andy her dog were abandoned and Dolly said that they could spend the night with her but they both died in their sleep.
When I was a little girl I balled up in a corner and cried every time my aunt played this song.
I was born in 1962 and turned 62 July 2024.ear buds in blasting that music and locked the world outside. The late 70s 80'S 90's were the best many great memories. MY daughter loves this song. Still here September 2024!!!!
I cry every time I hear this song. 😢😢. Dolly has so many beautiful songs.
You need to do Dolly's "Me and Little Andy". She talks like a little child in parts of the song and she sounds just like a little girl.
Love you Dolly
Dolly was so pretty back in those days before she had all that plastic surgery she looks a little like an angel back then but not now
Dolly amazing singer
I'm dead
I never heard this song on the radio after the first time I played it on the record player, but ever since it was my favorite song. But until now I've never heard it anywhere else. I never could listen to it without crying nevermind singing it, but I memorized every word. Dolly could sing anything and make it sound beautiful, even though the lyrics breaks my heart. 💔💔💔😭😭😭👼🐶🐾🕯️🙏❤️🩹
WONDERBAR - MY WIFE AND I BOTH CRIED - BUT THEY ARE BOTH IN HEAVEN - AMEN!!!!!!!

Dolly Parton is Amazing! Classic, Sad and Touching Song! Makes Me Cry!
Me too !
I should’ve left this song in my memories. My grandma used to sing this to me. This song was my life and she said it always made her think of me. Every bit of the song was what I lived through except I survived 😂. When she was on her death bed I sang it to her. She saved me and I am who I am today because of her. I love you Arena ‘Irene’ Mrenak take care of my little Mandy dog until I get there.
Dolly can write touching songs
This song so makes me cry
As a kid I took most of my time to listen to Dolly and loved her very much..I saw her in my dream almost daily
She's a brilliant songwriter.
Dolly Parton's grace, charm, and flair outshine any performer of the past 15 years. I longed to be in London that night for her concert. She is undoubtedly one of the top 10 figures to come out of Tennessee.
Wow

Sad that Sandy and Andy died
😢😢😢😢
Late one cold and stormy night I heard a dog a'barkin' Then I thought I heard somebody at my door a' knockin' I wondered who could be outside in such an awful storm Then I saw a little girl with a puppy in her arms Before I could say a word she said, 'My name is Sandy And this here is my puppy dog, it's name is little Andy' Standing in the bitter cold in just a ragged dress Then I asked her to come in and this is what she said Ain't ya got no gingerbread Ain't ya got no candy Ain't ya got an extra bed for me and little Andy Patty cake and bakers man My mommy ran away again And we was all alone and didn't know what else to do I wonder if you'll let us stay with you Giddy up trotty horse, going to the mill Can we stay all night If you don't love us no one will I promise we won't cry London bridge is fallin' down My daddy's drunk again in town And we was all alone and didn't what we could do I wonder if you'll let us stay with you She was just a little girl, not more than six or seven But that night as they slept the angels took them both to heaven God knew little Andy would be lonesome with her gone Now Sandy and her puppy dog won't ever be alone Ain't ya got no gingerbread Ain't ya got no candy Ain't ya got an extra bed for me and little (whispers)
Dolly is just a Class Act..and that voice is a gift from God

Beautiful song beautiful Lady her song are so pure and Wholesome
I remember this being shown in the UK in 1984, it must have been September as it was very cold, temps like 1 or 2 degrees as the flats I lived in at the time only had underfloor heating, which was only on from October to April, and that night watching this on BBC1. Mum and I were wrapped up under quilts on either the settee trying to keep warm, I was a manly 12 years of age 😉at time, 13 a few weeks later but I remember this song coming on. I’ll tell you now by the end of it I was blubing like a bitch but I have to report watching it again now as a 52 year old, I was blubing like a bitch again! 🤣
SHE. SANG. THIS. SAME. SONG. YEARS. LATER. AND. HER. VOICE. NEVER. CHANGED. !!
This song makes me cry everytime I hear it my momma used to sing it I don’t allow her anymore 😭
My grandma used to sing this to me when I was younger
So sad 😢
I first heard this song at the age of 12 when I was in the 7th grade. A classmate of mine lip synced to it for a grade in our acting class. I had to Google the name of the song so that I could share it with my stepdad. I'm am a 53 year old African American and I come from a family of singers and musicians and we absolutely love all genres of music!!!❤❤❤
