Glissotar improvisation through Incandescent Silhouette Software

Playing the @glissonic6830 glissotar through my Incandescent Silhouette software. The glissotar is essentially a soprano saxophone with a groove cut down the middle. I designed this software to accompany a series of solo compositions for monophonic instruments, especially saxophone. It creates a harmony field by sustaining select notes from the performance and rearticulating them as rhythmic ca...

The least repetitive version of The Twelve Days of Christmas you will hear. This is a reminder to all of you that I am skilled in the art of arranging for all sizes of ensembles and familiar with traditional symphonic instruments. Here's an orchestral arrangement of the Twelve Days, composed in the style of various twelve-tone composers, including Schoenberg, Webern, Messiaen, and others. I'm f...

This is awesome! The relabi wave concept is a such a cool balance of random and musical semi-cyclicalness. Great work coding it and thank you for making it available!! 👍

Nicely done! As you say, it is pretty amazing that the ideas of the song are still conveyed despite the radically different styles (from the original). If the sections are style imitations of specific composers or pieces, those might could be indicated using the video, as a listening aid.

Regarding the Turing machine (no less than a model for universal computation), I noticed the fixed length buffer. A theoretical TM has an infinite tape--unbounded state appears to be sometimes needed for certain behaviors. This distinguishes the upper two levels of a hierarchy--the TM and the pushdown automata--from the lowest, the finite state machine. Anyway, conventional TMs are made to solve decision problems, that is, to return a single yes-no answer to a possibly infinite input sequence, and not produce musical sequences as you are doing--so artistic license is fine here.

This looks like it would be super useful to introduce new behaviors or fill the gaps in a modular setup. Exciting!
