Using mid-price made-up Fender Strat through a Trace-Elliot Boxer 65 BASS Amp. CHORDS USED (names not always known) ... fret chart based on EBGDAE (1st string first, 6th string last) ... INTRO ... (NOTE ... ALL CHORD "diagrams" are shown with the FIRST (high note) E-String first, moving across to the 6th (thickest) string LAST ... so the chord of D, for example would be shown as 2120xx. Hope that helps ... Here goes:0xx2xx (using LH finger 1) ..... x4x4xx (using LH 4 and 3) ... x31xxx (using LH 1 and 2) ... then Chord of A (middle 4 strings) x2220x followed by only strings 234, then bass note Bb 1st LH finger on fret 1 on 5th str. ... then 2202xx and pull-off top string from 2 to 0 .... then middle 4 strings (Chord E7) x3102x followed by repeat of the D (second str, fret3) .... then it gets interesting ... Bass note E (Open 6th string) ..... keep chord in place but use LH little finger at fret 2, 2nd string (Chord E6) ... playing only the 2nd and 3rd strings ... and changing to chord A 022200 but playing ONLY string 3,4,5 ..... before "ending" with BARRE across fret 2, strings 1,2,3,4 ONLY ..... and playing a "run-down" using LH little finger, TOP string fret 5 then 2, 2nd string frets 5 then 2, then use LH finger 3 to play string 3, frets 4, 2 ..... then same frets on 4th string ... then same LH finger, 5th string frets 4 then OPEN !! .... and to end, play single note 4th string still barre at fret 2, then gently strum across strings 3,2,1 to finish with that Chord of A6 !!

Well, you got some of the notes right, um.... Hey, this stuff does often not come naturally. It aint like playing The Weight or The Boxer in 1st position. Ask yourself. -Does your playing here sound ANYTHING like Oscar Moore, or Mary Osborne, Allen Reuss, Billy Bauer, Freddie Green, Slim Gaillard, Eddlie Lang, Dick McDonough, Carl Kress etc., etc.? (I.e these cats playing straight RHYTHM -NOT LEAD). Nah, it sounds like a folkie trying to get better. That is GREAT!!! Good for You! Playing classic Jazz is NOT beyond your grasp, IF you are willing to WORK just a little. You will learn to play all over again, but it is fast and you will like it MUCH. I envy you, for you have a great TREAT coming. Alas, you simply need a PROPER MUSICAL EDUCATION. Sound stuffy? It Aint!! The classic Jazz styles are NOT played commonly anymore (only by pros). So you cannot pick it up fro other guys! Most people do not know how to read anymore, and the guitar does not have much properly written STAFF. You have to learn to translate, mostly, from the piano treble staff. To learn, most people must take some college classes OR, lessons from a recognised , veteran pro who takes students. Within a few months you will begin to understand the guitar as you never have AND you will dig the theory. It is NOT difficult. You will NOT play many (or any) open strings. In classic Jazz, open strings are a serious no-no. However, once you get your chops, you will use them again (sparingly). Comp work often requires a few open strings. Sweet Lorraine is NOT a necessarily simple song as done by The Trio and OSCAR MOORE! BUT, it is also NOT too difficult IF YOU HAVE THE TOOLS. It is NOT genius --just serious music work with someone who knows how. AND you MUST learn to site READ -at least the TREBLE STAFF. This is easier for young kids, but... You will learn what every note on the fret board is WITHOUT stopping to think! After a year or two, you should be able to fall in with most Jazz pros and cover Jazz rhythm on most standards. WITHOUT embarrassment. -Lead, is something that naturally grows out of good RHYTHM playing. DON'T worry about lead. RHYTHM IS EVERYTHING. Good luck. Have fun. PS: You do NOT need a new fancy Jazz box. A Strat is a n excellent Jazz instrument! Don't let the guitar play YOU. YOU must play the guitar! There are many inexpensive boxes that make great professional Jazz instruments. You do NOT need a 1988 Benedetto! (but they are nice)

It also says it's in the key of F which sounds right if playing on acoustic. i just need the chord changes.
