Heres a dry fit of the superb Mitchy Hub to a MV Agusta F4 or Brutale... So simple I was able to do it one handed while fumbling with my camera phone ! Joe

Ask the riders who have experienced a collapse of the genuine MV Agusta hub bearings.
What exactly is the benefit of replacing a genuine Agusta part with this crap?
A Dude the original hub has a design flaw which can result in catastrophic failure. The most common failure is the seizing of the rear hub which is undesirable when riding at any speed. Mitch’s hub rectifies the poor design flaw so the chance of catastrophic failure is lessened exponentially.
@@BigDickIsBackInTown Never ever have I heard of a failure of this hub; I have almost 22k with my 1090RR... Works just as day one. Also; I would NOT replace ANY genuine part with some other "better" stuff; this is not a hose, like HD or Japanese crap, this is a well sorted work of mechanical art... If something like this goes bad, it's most likely poor maintenance; you do know you need to check periodically for play (usage) and apply specific grease, don't you?
@@BigDickIsBackInTown Here's a video of how you maintain your rear end in a manner in which it will never fail, but also remember, there is a torque specification for the two bolts which lock-in the desired position; over-tightening CAN AND WILL result in failure: ua-cam.com/video/6_e6DIPZTnM/v-deo.html
I have 4 MV’s that I purchased new and have yet to have an issue in 16 years because I service each and every one. I know every inch of my bikes and how they have been maintained and ridden. This is not the case for all people as they buy their bikes used and have no clue what has been done or how the bike has been ridden. I completely agree that poor maintenance is the most common cause in MV’s for catastrophic hub failure. www.mvagusta.net/threads/how-many-rear-hubs-bearings-failed.38009/ <~~~~is an excellent source of information on all things MV. So if an individual was to purchase a used bike and starting from that point maintained the bike exceptionally well the hub could still be an issue due to past neglect. Mitch’s hub is an alternative(and a better one, structurally and design) than the original hub. The cost is also a factor. Torque settings have been up for debate for years in regards to the hub. The majority of hub failures can be eliminated by maintenance but then there are the factors such as chain tension, manufacturer recommended torque being too tight, etc that have been reported on new bikes with under 3500km that are factors that supposedly caused the hub failures.
@@BigDickIsBackInTown Right! And I have 32 MV's since the beginning of time, who gives a fuck about what you have or think? I ONLY said, I would never ever use third party parts on MY bike (s). Does this guy make better parts for Agusta? That's great, they might buy the designs off his hands so that he won't struggle to sell online for the rest of his/her/it's life...
Hi i just bought my first mv agusta, but is it normal for the rear sprocket to have a little bit of wobble in it?
Yes Driss, a little play left to right is perfectly normal even when new. However, rotational lash should be zero.
@@josephgeoghegan9594 great, Thank you!!!
Hello Joe. This is my channel. and I would like to have you subscribed to it so I also subscribe to your channel and so we grow up ok. A big hug awaits response.
Oh hello Joe!
U forget to put the wheel on the Bike (joking) lol
@JoeGeoghegan can you explain what a "Mitchy Hub" is?
Are you sure that's not a car tire?
T of TT
Poor laptop :))
At 1:50 there is a spacer on the left to your hand - where does that go ?
Guys...I didnt fit the O ring as it isnt on the bike. Its just an exercise to shpw the components...; )
you forget the o-ring,, :)
adrian prasetyo Hi Adrian...Ha ! this is just a fun video to show how easy the general assembly is ...I should not get an Oscar !
I actually don't know :)
Just seen ya F4 rebuild pictures on the forum. You did a great job there brother :-)
She lives :0) in the Kitchen.... Baby Joseph you legend. (James)
The previous build was a Laverda Jota 180 ....1980 : )
@willbooth15 ah well that's the Brummie twang..; ) a bit laid back I guess...I'd already tested the electrics and primed the fuel pump..so I knew she'd fire : )....I've found over the builds I have done that rushing up and down an " emotional" ladder is not the way to go..just stay cool and focused : )
Thank you : ) The little waft of smoke is just assembly grease from around the exhaust manifold.. Kind regards joe
Nice well done, a little bit of smoke coming under the dash ? or was it the exhaust ?
@troyanata cheers mate..It's been alot of fun to build : )
That is excellent
