Jennifer Bruce is an award winning photojournalist and videographer who helps charities and development organisations create communication assets that generate support and funding for their work. After more than a decade working as a visual journalist for newspapers and international news agencies in Southern Africa, Jennifer knows how to research and develop a visual story that engages audiences worldwide.
Jennifer has worked with the British Red Cross, UNAIDS and IFAW, her work has been published in The Guardian, New York Times, The Telegraph and Washington Post. She has received international recognition from the British Journal of Photography, Yonhap International Press Awards in support of the UN Millennium Development Goals and SAB Environmental Awards. Jennifer strongly believes that humans respond to other humans and the best response comes from authentic human stories.
In addition to her extensive charity and news experience, Jennifer is a graphic designer and art director.

British Red Cross - Azima's story
Azima is a mother of two and an asylum seeker from Nigeria. She can't return to Nigeria because her son, Zabur, has cerebral palsy and in Nigeria there is a belief that disabled children are evil. Zabur was kidnapped twice when he was a baby.
If she is granted leave to remain in the UK Azima wants to become a carer for disabled children.
Being an asylum seeker can be lonely, Azima has no family in the UK.
The British Red Cross is helping Azima and her sons while they wait to hear whether they will be able to stay in the UK.
