Depends on your stat distribution. If you are using templar however crusade is the way to go. With 11.0.5 they are removing might (crit wings) and adding crit to wrath, but still templar build is muuch better with Crusade (back to legion days BOIS)

Go with execution sentence and use Templar, miniscule loss in aoe is nothing compared to the pure PRIO DMG you get.

Also the fact that it's a 30 sec cd makes you able to use 2 on-use trinkets and align both with cds

At the making of this video yes, but not at the moment, templar Prio dmg is insane, it's absolutely amazing in keys. With the 11.0.5 changes coming it will surely be the way to go for the future

If you sim these talents on 8+ targets for example, you will see that for big pulls divine storm is prio over the Hammer of Light. It's situational though, if you have good overall dps in your group, using hammer of light on the prio target (especially on +12 and higher keys) is much much better than having slightly higher overall dps but the pack taking 10-15 seconds longer to die because of the Big mob surviving while smallies are dead. Personally speaking I like Herald much more, not only the rotation is simpler, it uses crit wings which prevents overcapping on haste and all your spells becoming cluttered. It also improves word of glory!!!! Sadly the templar dmg profile is better for keys, big hammer = big prio dmg and better ST on bosses

Obviously i'm not saying you are doing mistakes, cuz you are a 0,2% top players (didn't checked, just believe ya). But I noticed you prefere using DS even with 3 targets instead of the Hammer, could you explain why ?

@@AtillaPlays1643agreed, in big pulls i pretty much just use hammer if theres a prio mob or to extend/refresh shake the heavens

Templar buffs made our DMG and DMG profile on par with true meta classes such as DK and Rogue, 11.0.5 is making our utility go through the roof! So I'm expecting it to be really good. Only downside might be, the changes making Prot Pally the new meta. In that case people might not wanna play double paladin. Some groups run double sham, you'd never do double sham double pala.

Sadly no, it's a blaster for sure! But if you look at world top 100-150 keys, there's only a handful with ret paladin in them. Sadly the DPS Meta is something like Aug-Mage + Frost DK/ele Sham/Assa Rogue. Who knows, after 11.0.5 changes pala can be a TRUE META CLASS???

I am planning to make a detailed guide on the class, in fact I had some preparation and little clips to combine, but the new templar build made me hesitant, so I will wait to see whether it is better or not.

Its not true…ret is good in low keys, after 12 you feel the dmg lacking is n high pulls. I play both assa and ret and higher than 12 assa, unholy etc pump better.

I tried templar for the first time today, after we did +11++ Dawnbreaker the tank suggested I should go for it. We did it in his +12 Ara-kara and I must say it's BLASTING

@@AtillaPlays1643herald is better in mass aoe dungeons like necrotic wake. But Templar deff is not far behind in that situation and does better ST the herald

These videos are recorded quite earlier than the date they are posted, so I'm still using the old Dawnlight builds. Still not happy with Templar, it's blasting insanely, but having a haste build then using crusade (haste wings) is not good, it's like having BL all the time, gets very hectic. I might drop a lot of haste, get crit and go for it though. If I'm pushing +13/+14s

I am still skeptical about templar, ''BIG HAMMER'' feels good at first sight but It requires some sort of modification to the current rotation so not a huge fan. At the moment world top Ret paladins are still not playing it for raid or M+, but we shall see in the following few days.

@@AtillaPlays1643 they need to get more crit before it becomes really viable. that said from initial testing with AW (not crusade) and a couple of crit trinkets, once a character goes above 50% crit, does hammers make massive dmg, I was able to score a 8800 000 hit , and then i died since it took the aggro from the tank.

Yeah this is the typical response of people that don’t understand the class. There’s a huge difference in dps for the people they do understand it vs the players that mash buttons. You won’t time a 10 key with that attitude. There’s a ton of timers and talents you have to actually manage to do well. Otherwise sure you can brain dead mash keyboard and time a 5 key

I have done this with a subpar ilevel most of dragonflight after the changes. It really is just mashing buttons. Yall wildin thinking ret needs a brain💀🤣🤙. Handle business boys

It is dramatically easier than most specs with small room for skill expression. But that's fine.

people tend to forget that doing damage on a ret is now supereasy, its the utility that seperates the different players, SaC on DK/Warr pull, BoP mechanics, clear rooms with bubble. Cycle defs in heavy AoE, off heal on procs to help out.
