canon R5ii video frame rates part one 100fps
Canon R5mkii video frame rates 100fps. The first of a look at the different frame rates and codecs of the Canon R5 mkii..to see how they perform in the real world in wildlife…in part two I’ll be looking at 2k 200fps and 8k 60 raw and clog2. And comparing footage to R3.

Nice stuff. I particularly liked the in-flight footage of the cormorant ... or is it a shag?
I thought the rhinos fighting would be more violent, but they reminded me of fencers when they block or evade their opponent's moves and then try to get into the best position to deliver their own strike.
I wouldn’t want to get in between them… we did miss a lot of ultra violence 😮👍
Unfortunately ,although we tried the footage was too bad to get to today’s standards.. it was 20 years ago when we shot it on an old Sony video camcorder with no dynamic range… I tried to get the highlights back but even divinci couldn’t do it we were also very inexperienced … but those rhinos fighting was a rare sight… it went on for 4 hours… and unfortunately the loser lost his life… we found him dead on the evening game drive… and he was dehorned to stop poaching and the hyenas mopped him up … I had some photos but my laptop got stolen… lesson learnt 😡

Thank you very much…we’re quite new to filming and make lots of mistakes I filmed most of this on a 1dx mk 2 … just got a r5 mk 2 and so far it’s fabulous…still testing ..Alison takes most of the photos on an r3…. But mistakes aside it was absolutely amazing trip and was blown away …we’ve got gorillas and mashatu booked next ….thank you for your kind comments 👍
As impressive as the big cats, hippos, elephants, etc are, I enjoyed the footage of the various birds. It's probably because there are so many types, different shapes and sizes ... having said that it's difficult to see the beauty in a vulture!

That elephant with the injury apparently was born like that…if it sucks too much water up it actually leaks out 😳..thanks for the comment 👍
