is that code can use on arduino uno?
any like pcb file? would like to make a pcb instead of wiring it
Will this work with arduino nano?
Can Arduino Uno also be used? I just have a spare used in an old class I was thinking of using it instead so it wont be wasted
When you were uploading the firmware, what was the correct board in the IDE? It looked like you had Arduino Micro, but then said it didn't work, so a bit confused. Should it be Arduino Micro on the dropdown/selected board, or Micro Pro, which I'm not seeing as an option? Great video btw, I've got it all printed and have the micro showing up tomorrow, so hoping to be able to solder and get it all done this week
new subscriber idol..
do you have a github link for the code? or is it the same code from the other vid?
it's nice to watch fellow Pinoy have passion for DIY Fight Stick <3
If you took the trouble for building everything from scratch at least try to make it look different from any generic 3D printed flatbox
yeah i made the thick box
can you share the pcb design dont worry ill tweak and change some stuff to make it my own version
I'm going to get working on this right now. I think, if I'm not mistaken, that I have everything needed right now in my garage, and should be able to have this working by tomorrow so long as I print everything tonight
What did you use on to keep the chip and the wire in place?
Nothing, it's just in there. There's space for it in the case.
I see. What is the material used for the buttons?
How much was the total cost for this build?
How much did the 3d print cost you? Can you drop the shop?
Nuts
Alternative you can just use a pi pico and gp2040 firmware Much better and waaaay more customizable And works with multiple platforms Only thing u might lose out on is a usb c port But you can probably find a clone board with type c that is probably cheaper too
Im doing some research before my parts get in. im trying to see if i could program it as a X-input or as a console controller so i can use the brook converter. Can you point me in the right way?
There's code that works with an Arduino Pro Micro that makes it an XInput Controller, that way you wouldn't have to use additional software. As for making it work with consoles/brook converter, I'm not quite sure as I haven't tested it yet.
@@tonidotcs looking at the website it says any "pc x-input devices"
@@dagbackhand2478 which website?
lil bro spent less than half the clip on the interesting parts
Indeed, I may have put too much gameplay
you could have used the gp2040 CE software for the raspberry pi and that would have saved you on a lot of trouble. Also Jfedor already expanded upon the slimbox and it's called the flatbox. It already has diagrams and stuff for PCBs.
This is true, but I really wanted to make my own just for fun.
Could you share the pcb design?
So what is the podcast about again
Again? Seriously?
noice
Hey do the switches have to be low profile or does any keyboard switch work?
It would be better to use low profile switches to preserve the "slimness" of the controller. Using regular keyboard switches would make the buttons stick out a little too much
Can you test it on tekken?
Sure thing! I'll see if I can get a new video up this week or next week.
@@tonidotcs one question, does this controller in the video work on ps4 and ps5?
@@grim9811Unfortunately, no.
@@tonidotcs , Thanks for answering man. I just thought that I would finally have an alternative for a brook universal fighting board. But i guess no luck for me. Very nice vid, and thank you for replying.
do you use some glue between the switch and the case? or its just snap and fit between the switch and the case?
No glue was used in this build
What bolts are used to attach the two parts?
I used 3x10mm wood screws, as stated in the original plans.
Very informative video Is there any 3d module for right handed mix box with 14 button layout?
if you don't mind me asking, what are the size of those buttons in milimeters?
I wanted to make one but the coding part looks complicated i thought all i have to do is buy buttons the brain and just plug all of it then change the settings in game for the buttons
*Promo sm* 💐
Bro you're so goated for modifying and making the buttons available for download I thought I was going to be paying so much for the Kailh switches
I ended up adjusting your models in blender, the wall that connects the button to the switch was too thick. I was able to get it to stick to the switches correctly now. I can share the files if anyone needs it. What gauge of wires do you use for soldering the switches?
I'd love to have the files! I used 26 AWG wires
@mrzeval i would love to get the files for the buttons too.
Please do share 🙏
Which screws did you use?
Hi, I used the screws that were stated in the original plans which are 3x10mm wood screws
Amazing video, you have inspired me to build my own hitbox thank you so much!
Would the case fit a Brook universal board?
There is a version of the slimbox top on thingiverse that fits a Brook universal board
So cool!! I want one too 😍🤍🤍
So cool! How i can add RGB to buttons at this controller?
cat sniffs
Great review! so inspirational! might get one soon or hopefully ROG make a new model that has more battery life which i doubt it, cause its practically a handheld PC, but will definitely cop one soon.
That Sonya X-Ray was painful to watch
😊😊🎉🎉🎉😂 😂
wow that combo look cool man
When you modified the model to fit the Gateron switches, did you modify the 3D model of the enclosure (SlimboxTop.stl) or just the keycaps?
Just the keycaps.
Like the very old times
Guitarduino is a firmware that works with the pro micro and outputs Xinput just fine.
Thankfully, I managed to write my own code to make the controller plug and play. XOutput was making my mouse lag if I forget to close it.
Never soldered anything before, just bought a kit off amazon. How easy is it to learn?
it's pretty simple! just know when you have too little or too much solder
Video is very informative and helpful! Everything about this is a dream! 😍 I love seeing you live your life exactly what you want! makes me want to make one of my own.
I cannot with these comments HAHAHAH
Because of this tutorial, I fixed my body clock, found purpose in life, and beat bad guys who is in my way. I achieved celestial rank due to this tutorial!
NOOOOO if you fixed your body clock, who else am I gonna play escape rooms with at 4am
so nice video 10/10 very inspirational i will make my own controller now too to git gud at guilty gear and beat u to a pulp
