Hi ,I know it’s an old video of yours painting the refrigerator but I hope you still will read the comments and I would like to ask you if you can please share extra tips on how you did your final coats with the Dixie bell product as I am really struggling to make it look good,I do purchased the same sponge as you showed but when the surface is long like the sides of the fridge the product seems to stay uneven

Easiest for changing color of hardware is using the Rustoleum 2X spray paint with primer (it's built int), do a few coats, 20 minutes apart. Wait another 20 after the last coat and then put a clear coat - I like to use the Rustoleum 2X gloss or satin, as it holds up very well, especially on hardware. I've used the Pebeo gilding wax, and it drives VERY hard - like it better than spraypaint (on hardware) and it's FAR easier to apply.

Question: if you spray 1-2 coats of spray before you seal the glaze with a top coat, why not just seal with the spray only and not add a brushed-on coat of top coat? And the spray paint is oil based,correct? Will the water based top coat adhere to an oil based spray? Thank you for this lesson. Very valuable.
