Hi buddy - just wondering if you use this for low diameter fluro too - like 0.16 down to 0.12 stuff for small dries etc? Am just using a straight leader but making the transition down to much finer fluro now to fish #16s - #20s - thoughts....? cheers

I'm amazed a hatchery trout that's stocked in a small lake and grows for 3-8 yrs eating leeches, scuds, and nymphs all it's life would even touch a fly like that. Yet in BC Canada they use boobies. I guess I'm lucky my local trout are not that pressured and regularly bite what imitations I'm using. Since I fish mostly from a float tube, my success drops considerably on a clear, windless, sunny day. I've tried fishing a boobie before and haven't had a fish bite one yet.

Haven't heard of the white polar bear lure for years! Used to fush a bronze one years ago, still have some in my fly box. Never been able to tie them easily.

Years ago a mate of mine decided to ‘downsize’ by changing from the traditional three turns to two despite what some of the old timers were saying. He was convinced he caught more fish as the knot was less visible. He certainly never had any troubles with the knot.
