Here’s what I learned, Make everything shamelessly catchy and melodic. For a song title make sure it can be said on a sticker

I don’t mean to be a hater. I mean really, I love grohl. I love his writing, instrument playing ability, the Foo’s and nirvana all so dearly…but I will say once you make it big you could make fart noises on a track and all it takes in one person to say “not bad” the rest will join. Not discrediting HIM or ANY band. But once you’re at that level. Fame and the Hive mindsets make ppl like the songs not you lol. Let some random dude who is great at singing say this and the hive mindset will call it trash simply bc he has no “clout” or “fame” and noteriety to the name. It’s silly and this is why new bands and artists don’t make it big. Bc rap is the only genre where new comers and goats are judged from an honest and even base level. Rock will always be better. But the community can be so hostile and fragile af emotionally/egotistically over everything sometimes lol
