Kia Niro Coolant leak SOLVED
customer said they lost coolant as soon as they filled it up. you will be shocked by my findings. Its called a heat recovery unit main dealer price for part £1309 +vat

Hello there. Mrs' 2018 A3 has a leak. AC went from ice cold to bugger all over the course of couple weeks. Over last few weeks it went from decent to something to nothing, so I don't think its electrical or compressor issue. We had light front end prang last year which dislodged the washer fluid pipe in wheel arch and triggered the bonnet pop struts. It seems logical to me this is related to the prang, but I can't explain why the system would be fine for a year then lose it all over a couple weeks though? Anyway I'm going to pass this vid onto my mechanic when he's having a look.
Can you get it back in easily I have got the water out of mine but did not remove drain rubber?

Was that your issue, same as yourself, I need to top up sometimes.
Has anyone tried to use k-seal to fix it?
Personally I wouldn't recommend this as K-seal is a repair to get you safe at a garage it's not a permanent fix. I find this stuff blocks things it shouldn't
W205 Today I tackled this as it would appear I had coolant leaking from underneath the car and warning on dashboard and when you looked around by the fuel filter housing and the egr cooler there was a build up clearly showing however I've fitted the new redesigned model can only fit two bolts as isn't slots for all three. However I took it for a test drive after refilling with coolant and now it appears the dashboard warning has came back on yet again? Any ideas or suggestions to what's happening?

That's probably be cheaper solution
9 months later and it seems to be working. No more flumes of white smoke

If I'm honest it was awhile ago and didn't keep note of it but call kia and ask for the catalytic converter with the heat exchanger on the top. It's not available aftermarket unfortunately as far as I am aware
I have a 2011 A3 8P 1.6TDI with freon leak and I am searching for all leaks. I have the UV dye in the sistem and I haven't seen anything yet. Bone dry under the hood. How could I check the evap withouth removing the dash?
Hello sorry for the late reply. I would empty the air condition gas completely and remove the valve on HP side. After that has been removed I use a smoke Pro machine which apply smoke and pressure in the system which will leak smoke out the system where leaks are found.

You can remove the cap and fit new seal works 50% of the time its worth a try
