Chucking an rb25det Gearbox in my R32 Skyline - In this weeks video I set out to pull the blown clutch out of my R32 Skyline, whilst the box was out I figured I'd chuck the brand new rb25det gearbox I had lying around in rather than the rb25de box it had. simply because the det box is just better... and as it turns out and much bigger...

Yep... That's the last time I rock up to an event without my car... sh!t sucked a$$ to be filming but not driving. On the upside though, I did get cool reel out of it... so not a complete lose? I dunno, I'm definitely not not driving an event i attend again that's for sure.

Just me, my car, and some plans for the future! Stocked to have my R32 both on the road and at events, now that we're here its time to both enjoy the results of all the hard work AND set new goals and targets for the future! P.s the goals be high ;)

Bruuuuuh, this past month getting to not one, but two events has been crazy! Actively participating in the local "oversteer" seen has been a huge goal of mine since I was about 14 years old, and now having been to two events, I can happily say... I'm here to stay baby ;)

WE MADE IT BOIS!!! - Starting off with an hour and a half long drive, followed up by a pretty consistent six hours of "oversteer understeer control practice" and then the very uncountable drive home after spending all day in a seat made in the 80's... The R32 made it (easily) through the lot no worries ;)

Well just like the title says, this was the final prep to get me ready for my first ever event in my r32 skyline... now if you'll excuse me, I have to got pack my crap so I'm ready to go at 6am...

I am one week out from my first event in this car and after this past week I think I'm gonna be cutting it wee bit close... Almost got defeated by a simple brake, in fact if it weren't for a good mate coming to the rescue, I think my chances would have be less then half of what they are now... Thank you Dom;) Things left To-do - Front Brembo's - bleed brakes - mount battery (make solid) - mount...

All the parts for my R32 arrived just in time to for the weekend, which meant I spent an entire weekend and two full afternoons/late nights painting the freshly fabricated rear knuckles, pulling the rest of the old bushings out and installing the new polyurethane bushings, and rubbing my eyes from the lack of sleep... Hope ya'll enjoy this one!

And in this weeks video I spent an entire day removing old bushings, yes, an entire day... and then I dropped off the Knuckles for fabrication which i am mad keen to see the final results of! oh, and the new bushing still haven't shown up... I'm definitely not stressing... like at all 8)

Yew, I booked my first drift even in the R32!!! Only thing is, it's in four weeks and my car is in peace's waiting on parts to arrive... yep. I'm not stressed at all :l Follow along to see if we make it;)

Did you say wires were taped up after soldering ? If using PVC electrical tape the adhesive will dissolve in the fuel and then short. Heat shrink should be okay though. Better to replace the entire wire from top to bottom with no joints. Trust me, mine shorted out.

@@CoppertopProductions Just be careful if you have to replace either the fuel pipe or the wires. Nissan use special “submerged” fuel proof hose. Regular efi hose is rubber on the inside and PVC on the outside. The piece of hose I initially used just disintegrated after a few weeks and then the car would not start. The insulation on the wires is also PVC. Fuel rated wire is either “polyethylene jacketed” or PTFE “tefon” coated. Don’t want a short inside your fuel tank !! I ended up using braided teflon hose from a marine supply shop.
@@andrev5207 the hose I know came with the DW pump so should be fine, the wires too, the only issue I can see (now somewhat obvious 😅) is the elc tap on the joints
@@CoppertopProductions if you look online there is some gasoline and e85 resistant heat shrink that is not too expensive. Also watch out for a bad electrical contact in the plug where the tank opening hole is. Mine was sparking away for years - inside the tank !!! I could tell because it was partially melted and had gone black. If this was an Australian made car that would have been a safety recall. I chopped off the plug and soldered my wires direct to the pins just to be safe. Yep, that electrical tape wont last long. I pull it out before it ends up on the bottom of your fuel tank somewhere forever. The danger is mainly when your fuel tank level gets low and air fills the tank void.

Short answer yes, the longer your intercooler piping is the louder it’ll be as it has more room to “dose”

Nope, bolts onto stock location so long as you have the stock J pipe

Even with the crimp on the wires. You should add some heat shrink to the connector to act as a " strain relief"

Nah no tune needed, I mean if your running an aftermarket ECU and built motor it may be necessary but if it’s mostly stock you’ll be right

Honestly can’t remember;) best one I could recommend is the libertywalk one in Tokyo!
