    almost seems like your arms fire before the body. do you feel that? I know feel is different for everyone.

    @Lubo-qd2zs 4 місяці тому

    For me, the feeling of letting the arms drop before shifting and rotating has helped immensely with my ball striking. Now I have more of a feeling that the club is out in front of me and my body is being led by the club, as opposed to my previous swing which consisted more of a lateral slide.

    Wrong 😂, tucking the trail arm actually keeps the club on the correct path while storing power for the downswing.

    • @winstonsmith11
      @winstonsmith11 5 місяців тому

      No. She's right. You need to extend the trail arm early in the downswing. This creates width, shallows the club, and creates a downward hand path. Tucking the elbow decreases width, creates an outward hand path, and steepens the club. Basically, it destroys your downswing. You still want to reconnect the trail arm to the body. But certainly not "tuck." Rather, extend as you reconnect. 😉

    This is so key! Nowadays too much is made of keeping RT elbow bent at impact. This inhibits the RT side release and creates a club that is too late to impact. Equals loss of power, poor contact, weak fades… Think of hitting hard with the RT side while keeping shoulders closed at impact

  • @marksmith5196
    @marksmith5196 6 місяців тому

    Nope do not listen to this, this is wrong and is essentially casting where you will lose a lot of power, stop teaching.

  • @samhowl1152
    @samhowl1152 7 місяців тому

    This is really the worst style of teaching and it's becoming so prevalent. Just showing yourself doing it wrong then correctly.. If watching people do it well was enough we'd all have great swings. You need to talk more about it, break down what the differences were. How to do it correctly.

    Another great video. What you also need to remember is to grip the club slightly tighter after impact and during the follow through to prevent the club sliding from your grip otherwise it will end up boomeranging down the fairway or worse case, into the lake. Best wishes, Johnny Muscles.

    The best way to get more distance is to absolutely clatter the ball as hard as possible. Have a run up if you prefer. If you are lucky, it will also go in the right direction. Golf is hard enough as it is, so keep it simple. Best wishes, Johnny Muscles.

    My advice is to simply avoid going into bunkers in the first place. By following this advice you won't need to do any of this. I know it's a bit obvious but hopefully it helps. Best wishes, Johnny Muscles.

    • @johnnymuscles2767
      @johnnymuscles2767 Рік тому

      Thanks for the response Nattie. What I would say is if you stupidly hit your ball into a bunker, you simply declare the ball unplayable. This is technically true if you are completely inept in bunkers like me. Simply take a drop on the grass with a 1 shot penalty and move on. Take your medicine. Everyone will appreciate if you start thrashing around in the sand you'll end up with a cricket score on your card and the golf clubs could end up being thrown in the lake. Keep up the good work Nattie. You rock. Best wishes, Johnny Muscles.
