I keep asking the same question of everyone doing an MPC 3.0 video. Have they set up USB Audio Compliance so that it is compatible with more than just 44.1 kHz?

The linear arrangement is just a sequence with much more control. There is no reason to change the core of how you work as you can literally do the same thing, but instead of going into menus to edit and paste and move things around and delete, loop etc, you have it all in your face. Plus it reduces the need to craft work arounds, especially when you are talking about automation. The linear arranger on the Force is great and it feels like you are using hardware and it makes it very easy to create a fluent arrangement instead of working in strict blocks, but it does not prevent you from working in blocks if you prefer that method.

I’m still on 2.10.0. Only thing I’ve wanted since that update was the Air Flavour but you can get same affect running the sound through the sp. I really wanna try the Arranger mode though. Sample edit on main screen and select all is brilliant update feature also.

I’m all about linear workflows and I want to make some jazz on it. I think it will be super useful to record into the arranger directly vs all that make a loop stuff. No offense to those that like that.

I love the portable daw feel! I hated most of UI and workflow before.

This is why I still say the MPC One and its dedicated buttons is why I never could get with the Live 2, even with the speaker and added i/o.

Legacy MPC users won't like this update but everyone else will. If you're coming from a regular DAW background the MPC legacy workflow always felt weird and outdated. I for sure felt that way coming from Ableton Live + Push 2. The Programs workflow and lack of linear arrangement just didn't make sense to me. And this is exactly what Akai seems to have fixed, so I welcome these changes. It will make the MPC platform far more intuitive to step into.

The new dedicated audio track is huge for me. I can now record long hardware jams and arrange them correctly inside the MPC

Not feeling this update tbh. Feels like a lot of fluff mixed with a lot of visual noise and a clunky UI that fills the screen to the point where it feels too small. Don't understand why they killed the track mutes. Probably gonna stick to 2.0.

Akai Stems needs an update. It still has artifacts in the majority of the results. I've compared their stems results to StemRoller and it doesn't compare. Please AKAI compare your A.I. stem maker software to StemRoller's free A.I. stem maker software.

It depends on the sample selection. I sampled from UA-cam from my phone and the stems sounded good,but I sampled again from UA-cam and everything came out good except for the drums. I sample from vinyl and normalized the audio and it sounded great

Those are the reasons I traded my unused MPC 3000 for a new one with 1 terabyte hard drive. I still have other MPCs.

$10 for stems is a real bargain. Great tutorial.

Pad shortcuts really opened up the workflow for me. Gamechanger. It's also worth noting that recent updates have made the menu screen customisable, so you can rearrange the order of your shortcuts however you want.
