yes These words are german nouns put together to one long nouns because it is possible in german. These are very stupid words. Maybe you can find some of These Kind of words in text of a law. But I think every language has complicated Word or nouns in their laws. 😊

Word constructs like these are the reason why you shouldn't play Scrabble against germans. We win every time. At least, if we find the 400 square meters required for the scrabble board (German Edition)

The thing is, they were used at some point, but have been changed to not be so long anymore. These words are not considered to be up to date anymore, it's like talking in that "medieval" english like using thou instead of you

I mean you could do the same stuff in english if you want to. It's basically a combination of multiple words to make up a new one. No one actually uses those words though

They're all real words, but really, it's just a technicality. Because you just can construct words and connect them together in the german language. Like, in german it would be coffeemug and not coffee mug. And now I call the cupboard where the coffeemug stands the coffeemugcupboard. And so on and so on.

Those words are names for an obscure law and a company from long ago and aren't really used everyday. German has plenty of long ass words one encounters every day so you don't really need to pull obscure proper names as examples. For example, if you arrive to Austria by train, one of the very first words you'll encounter is "Fahrtreppenbenutzungshinweise" (escalator usage notice).

There's a superfluous "erkennzeichnungs" between "Rind" and "fleisch" in the first word, the correct one is: Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz. There can be much linguistic (and philosophical) debate about what counts as "a word", but the abomination above certainly was the working title of a law in the German federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The title had been updated to Gesetz zur Übertragung der Aufgaben für die Überwachung der Rinderkennzeichnung und Rindfleischetikettierung before it was put into effect in 2000. As you can see, it contains all the components of the ridiculous version in reverse order, plus a bunch of articles and prepositions (and Rinderkennzeichnung), because that's how the German language works. The law has been put out of effect in 2013.

Those by the way are real words. The law with the beef is the longest word in Germany, the one with the Donau company in Austria. The Law in Germany is an update law about how it's controlled that beef is labeled correctly, the company was established when the ship travelling on the Austrian Donau was privatized, the company took over the former public workers.

The second word is not an actual word in german. It is grammaticaly correct but a play on the word "Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän". The first word though is actually real or more precise an actual law
