The system can operate fine without doing this. It won't hurt anything, but you may experiece loud chime signals witout it. Performing the x3 conversion will lower the chime volume to reasonable levels so it is a good idea to do this when you replacing your amp.

Neat old combine. I think I also detected a hydro whine, when it came driving up. 😎
nice work !
Looks and sounds awesome! You did an amazing job!
I’m not sure you can call it a 7520 anymore. I often thought how mad was the farmer that bought a 20 and then 8 months later the sound gard came out. We had both. Sure was a Huge step forward. Can’t believe the work involved. Super sharp
Nice job😊
You have amazing skills! The 7520 and the 4820 are beautiful tractors. I would love to drive them in the field. Do you ever use them in the field?
Wow 1 of kind . You should email Deere engineers.
Beautiful job!!! Looks amazing.
what yellow are you using on those wheels, its nicer than deere yellow
I know. It's my own special formula of ppg. Looks less mustardly than jd yellow.
Im being an internet wise ass here...Wouldnt it have been much easier to put a 7520 hood on a 8650? Or did the project head this direction, too far gone to go back?
What would the point in that be? A 7520 hood is much too short and narrow without major sheet metal work. Plus I already had the 7520, just wanted to upgrade it and make it awesome.
@@Subthump1 you did a great job, the point would be, you would get the advancements of the 8650, can pick them up for same price as a 7520. for all the work you did here, it wouldnt be that out of line to put the 7520 hood on an 8650
@@pauldevloo5231 I have an 8760, why would I go out and buy a 8650. 7520 is part of my 20 series collection.
Absolutely amazing. That is really beautiful.
You did an amazing job man! She is absolutely beautiful
A lot of thought and planning
That was quite a job
I did that 30 years ago to my 4320
That thing is fine!
I don't have enough good words to say about that rig!...How about this!✅️🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇💯💯💯💯💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍
Chris Duffy needs to see this . Nice job.
Ahh, no electronics. GPS is great, but all the other stuff vehicles, tractors, and equipment in general have can go right in the garbage as far as I’m concerned. Very nice tractor!
We had a 7520 for over 15 years. Most dependable of the JD 4WD JD tractors built until the 60 series and floating engine mounts. The 30, 40 and 50 series with the 619 all had the same issues with not enough strength in the front frame and using the engine to substitute. I wish I had a dollar for all the engine failures this caused. We bought a Caterpillar 75D and have never looked back. John Deere is a shadow of its former self. That artistic rendition of a Deer was a change from the actual profile of the Deer of days gone by. When they did that, my JD parts guy says they fired the quality control department.
I Love Those big articulated Tractors.
Very impressive. You have lots of patience to make it look that good.
Interesting that the station height wasn't a problem like putting a sound guard on a '20 series 2 wheel drive
You would not believe how much time and effort that went into getting the cab lower and lower to the platform so that the cab doesn't look higher. If you notice, the yellow stripe on the hood and side of the cab are almost in perfect alignment. That's one the finer details but making that line up was one of my goals early on. I notched a bunch of the supports under the cab to gain the last couple inches.
John deere could have used your design work back in the seventies You're very talented.
I find the soundgaurds look a hell of alot better on the 20 series with the more smooth and rounded hoods
If they're done well. I 've seen a few hatchet jobs that didn't look nice.
I've seen this in person and it's absolutely amazing!
No!... Just my opinion... 7520 are so rare and that one is perfect. Keep the original cab on it. Beautiful tractor take it out and play with it.
OMG U NO HOW 2 MAKE A TRACTOR LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!! every last little detail is done to perfection. Looking forward to seeing your next project. Can’t decide if I like the 4820 or the 7520 better both are absolutely beautiful machines
Is the hood the only 7520 original item? Looks great
No, a lot of it is original.
Sounded like hood, transmission and fuel tanks were the original parts
@@AdamAdam-vy1pe no, far from it
Love what u done i drove a 7520 4 10 years for the guy I worked 4 square cab bad air-conditioned was week but was a work horse 4 years ill say again I love it keep up the great work.
Wow that's a beautiful tractor great job
Take a bow, looks beautiful. We have a 4320 and a 4620 and they are work horses. One of the big downfalls with Emma's in 5th 6th 7th and 8th gear The rear end noise Whining) is incredibly loud. Gets worse with higher RPMs. With the soundguard cab and other modifications How is that tractor running down the road at 15 to 18 mph for cab noise?
So basically you built a 7520 from scratch the way a 7520 should have been built in the first place!..she’s a beaut!.
Yes, that is exactly how to describe it. Muscle car guys would call it a resto-mod. Take a 69 Camaro for instance, drop in a LS motor, all new suspension, frame-off the body, new wheels, tires and interior. Boom you have something way better than the original.
@ the old stuff was nice to look at but horrible to drive and operate…and sometimes down right dangerous!..
Awesome tractor. in the I drove a 7520 in the 70s .
Your brilliant, I've always wanted to put a 619 engine in my 7520. The tractor is absolutely beautiful. It just kept getting better the longer the video went. Did you need to put a bigger radiator in with the 619 engine? I have way too many questions to ask in this format. Congratulations. The interior was the biggest surprise for me. It was beautiful
Thanks for the compliments. I kept the same radiator. I know of others who have swapped to the 619 and done okay so I'm hoping it will keep it cool. I could have gone on all day about all I did but I had to keep it compact for the video. I forgot to mention in the vid that I hooked up the hyd. seat so probably the only 7520 to ever have a hydra-cushion seat. Plus I put all new glass in except the back window.
@Subthump1 That's wonderful no more squeaky seat sound as you bounce across the field. I've got many a thousands of hours on my 7520 that my Uncle Dave bought new in 1974 . My dad bought one of the first 7520s I believe it was a 1973 and he paid $22,000 for it. The very next year my uncle Dave bought one and he had to pay $32,000 for his. That's when Nixon sold all the wheat to Russia and the farmers thought the good times were going to last forever.
Very Very cool dude!!😮👍👍
Beautiful job!!!
Beautiful! Wish i had your talent !
Very impressive
A phenomenal job building that tractor. Your attention to detail is amazing.
Awesome project! As others have said, great attention to details. Really makes it look like a production tractor. Cant wait to see it in Rantoul!
👍🏼
Wow. That’s a lot of work. Is it going to be a field tractor?
Eventually, yes
I would love to see you do a sound guard on a 4020 with a synchro mesh
I'm fixing to do a 4320 syncro
wow!!!! this machine is a killer! Ask Deere if you can make them in serie-production! Congrats on this awesome job!
When do you plan on putting it to work in the field? I'd like to see that video. Thanks
I'm gonna wait till after Rantoul before I get it dirty
Wow, lots of work, tons of details, but she looks awesome.
That is beautiful my friend
You did a beautiful job on that tractor! All excellent! !
It looks good and there's no stupid chrome stack!
