Tenson V Scott Interview - "Bracker" - Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands
Переглядів 15210 місяців тому
Interview with Tenson V Scott on Cayman Brac on February 16, 2024. I was lucky enough to find Tenson after hearing a lot about him from various locals. He was gracious enough to speak with me for over an hour, telling me tales about his upbringing on Cayman Brac, and how it used to be back then. This is probably the most significant interview I've ever done, as there aren't many old Brackers le...

howman is a short documentary film featuring Justin Herbst, a quadriplegic man living with cerebral palsy, and his journey to break the stereotypes of his disability. He is wheelchair bound, but he doesn't let that limit himself - he goes to work, he commutes to the city, he goes to wrestling matches, and he lives mostly independently. However these are not extraordinary things for him. Able-bo...

Social Distancing Bike Wash in 4K
Переглядів 1704 роки тому
Washing my bike down after a long ride. Super bored, so I plan on doing more videos like this around the house. Went for a 50 mile ride with a friend a few days ago, and after hitting about 9 miles of gravel the bike got pretty mucky. Here is a condensed version of the bike wash. Enjoy it in 4K, and comment below what else I could share! I skipped a few parts towards the end, like taking the ch...

Where did you store the bike transport boxes? I was thinking to use standard bike carton box.
stored it at a car rental place at the airport, we just asked them to watch our cases while we did the trip for about $150 USD
Nice video! Two quick questions for you. Was your tent enough against the wind and rain ? Looking at similar tent (nemo dragonfly) and it's one of my main concern. Would it be possible yo have an idea of yoir route? At least the gravel part. I was wondering if gravel tires were enough for a lottle bit of Highlands. Thanks!
i don't think setting up a tent in dry river bank at 23:00 is a good idea😂
Not a problem that time of year :) and we were still 1-2m above the water in the river next to us
He’s back!! ❤
Let's go 🙌🙌
Thnx for watching!
Are the revelate bags 100% waterproof? I've heard they arent so I'm curious if you experienced any water getting in them.
I only got water in them when it was raining sideways lol... if water is hitting the zipper directly then it probably will leak a little
What did you do with your bike boxes?
Super useful video!! Planning my Iceland trip currently - especially useful with the bike bags. Question - were you wearing road or MTB shoes with the Gorewear overshoes?
MTB! Don't wear road, you need shoes you can walk in. I wore the Fizik shoes I mentioned in the video
If you're going to be on roads why not just drive ? Oh wait thats lazy me 😅
Would be awesome 😎
You know why they suck? (Devils Brood) because they are not only self abusive; Smokers, excessive alcohol drinkers, street drugs, only care about their luxuries and vanities, fornicators ruin marriages and committed relationships, they lie, cheat, and steal and are deceivers and don't tell the truth about matters, but they also ABUSE THEIR PEERS.
It’s always helpful to see others gear, I get ideas to improve mine! Thanks for the in depth rig breakdown 🙏🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Reminds me of my bike trip this autumn that lasted only 5 days because of strong winds, the rest of 2 weeks did it also with a car lol. The drone shots were sick
all part of the adventure!
24:30 the reason why I sleep in my own tent 😊
This looked like a really fun trip! We’re you running regular SS Gravelkings, or plus?
Regular! They were 38mm tires
How is it finding those gas canisters for the stove in iceland?
Very easy, every gas station has them in stock
song???!
All music is from Artlist.io, glad you liked it! Thank you for watching
This breakdown video and your full trip film are amazing! They have been a big help in logistics planning for my Iceland Costal to Interior trip I'm planning for 2024. Thanks!
Best of luck, we will be back in 2024 as well!
HI Armin, thanks again for such así amazing video. I can't figure out how to attach the drone controller to the handlebar, when I tried to do it both pieces are the same and dont insert. I have seen the rides of Japan video but I dont know how to connect both adapters. any help please?
Hi, you need to cut off one of the 3 prongs on the GoPro mount for it to work. Check out his video for a more detailed explanation. It's attached using the GoPro Flat Adhesive mount, Mounting Buckle, and a metal handlebar GoPro mount you can find on Amazon, linked in video description. Hope that Helps.
Excellent breakdown; will help for my upcoming attempt👍👍
What's the music from? Awesome edit.
Artlist.io, Thank you!
Hey man! Which app did you use as map? Was is Komoot or sth else? Can you share a gpx file or Stava route?
Used my Wahoo Elmnt Roam, routed us using the Strava map maker and synced it there. You can find me on strava if you search my name, and download GPX files from there
Make more content man! You’re video style/ storytelling is great
Working on some new projects now. I just haven't gone on any new trips!
@@arminkorsos good to hear there’s more content on the way! Hope you get a chance to travel again soon
Excellent video, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you, dear, sir, so very much for sharing your Icelandic bike packing! Best regards from Sweden! Cycling around Iceland is now on my bucket list, I have done the circle around Iceland by rental car for ten days in 1992! The best road trip I ever experienced! I so much appreciate your top-class bike packing video and I like all the smallest details that make your video so valuable when planning for a bike packing coming trip! God bless you both most richly! By the way, is there any channel to see Michel´s podcast/or YT-channel? Best regards from Sweden! 💯❤👍👍🤏
Hey thank you! Michael doesn't have a UA-cam or podcast, but I'll let him know you're requesting one. Safe travels!
Enjoyed
It looks epic.. your videos are helping a lot I am going this summer. do you need a permit to fly a drone?? I'll appreciate if you could tell us your experience flying a drone in iceland? thanks
Don't need a permit. Very windy. Be safe!
Great video!! so many details, it will def make our packing easier. Do you need to get a permit to fly a drone in Iceland? some sites say: No, you dont and others the opposite. Same with wild camping, it isn't legally allowed. Thanks again
Wild camping is legal if it's not inside someone's fenced in property. Drone is legal just don't fly in populated areas and over people. We didn't fly near busy waterfalls or canyons. Safe flying!
Fk me, you’d need to sleep with your head under the roaring river to not hear Armin snore!!! That is why Michael was waking up tired. 🤣🤣🤣
It looks like an epic place beyond words. So hardcore you went into the hot springs AND got back out to ride more! Crazy! Lol. But how do you ride in those temps and conditions then tent camp?? Warmly? I think of my winter rides and how cold I am for hours after a hot shower. Any secrets?
Thanks for the comment, the temps were not too bad. About 50f / 10c the whole time on average. Wind and rain was a bigger problem than the temps. When your heart rate is high while riding, you don't get cold. Also most campgrounds had hot showers, hope this helps!
In witch car rental you drop the bags? I’ll go this summer, and I don’t know where to let. Thanks! P.s. it’s great video! Thanks for some tips
We dropped our gear at Geysir car rental. They were great. You'll find them in the KEF airport parking lot, about a 10 minute walk from the exit. Best of luck!
I have to ask: What kind of mudguard do u use ate 1:43?
It's made by ass-savers! Highly recommend and really affordable
Expensive to store a bike bag but this is Iceland.
For two bags for 12 days $160 is not bad at all. A luggage locker at the airport is significantly more.
I've seen many videos about what to see on Iceland, this one is the first one that tells how to prepare for Iceland. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Another epic video!
Thanks David!
Cool video! I remember camping there with my high school back in 2014…
Good 🎉
hey cool channel bro! iv subscribed!
Thanks I enjoyed watching this. Your never know but I hope the B stad who stole your battery pack got paid back by Karma.
Hope they're enjoying their charger! Thanks for watching
excellent video! i'm heading to iceland this june and this video is giving me the insane idea to bring my topstone carbon as well instead of my steel mtb.... i'll think about it...😉
Both would work depends on where you'll be riding. MTB for sure if your route is mostly highlands as it would be more fun, but a carbon gravel bike if your route is mostly paved road like our trip was. Have a fun and safe trip!
In all of the years Ive been in Chicago I haven't been to this spot. I've heard so much about it. Very cool to see it up close and personal in this video!
I don't bike pack and have no plans to but this was very entertaining lol. I loved the snoring scene lol. I was also very curious on how you managed power with your camera and other devices so that was very cool to see.
Appreciate you watching!
I found this channel randomly while looking for bikepacking on UA-cam; it is really a channel that produces quality content. Congratulations.
Appreciate you! This took a lot of effort to put together.
@smartwool sponsor this man!
Would be the best sponsor ever
Look at be free gravity feed system 3 liter one .. just mod the hose with a camelbak mouth piece… that way just replace your bladder and fill with water and you can always have filter water ..the flow is fast
Thank you!
Look at merit gear popcorn stem bags you can carry your drone in that no problem there wider
I'll check it out!
Try infinity seat you wont have a a sore butt
I’m planning on getting into bikepacking this year (and am actually considering a short Iceland trip as well) and this was one of the best breakdown vids I’ve come across! I actually watched it all the way through ha
Thank you Monica! Glad you found it helpful. It's one of the most fulfilling ways to see a country, you won't be disappointed by Iceland. Maybe just humbled by the wind and rain...
Thanks, that was an excellent level of detail.
Glad it was helpful, and not annoyingly detailed!
Sick trip and camera work.
Thank you! Difficult to balance that, and enjoy the trip, but turned out alright this time! Appreciate you watching
