Sorry I didn't see this right away. I was running mine off 5VDC. But in theory it can run from 5VDC to 30VDC

Sounds like a power supply problem. It's been a while since I have had mine apart. But I think I remember it being a transformer and a bridge rectifier circuit with some smoothing caps and a voltage regulator. I would start with checking output of the transformer and work my way through the circuit until I find where it stops having voltage

@George Saris, sorry for the delay in answering this. Life got in the way of my UA-cam channel But static when switched on points to a bad op amp, similar to the same issue I had. If the static changes with the volume knob then I would look to the pre-amp section. If it stays the same regardless then it is most likely the final stage. It could also be a bad DC blocking capacitor between the op amps allowing the bias voltage from the prior stage to overload it. Depending on the tools you have, I would start a similar way as mine and use an oscilloscope to see where in the circuit the audio starts having noise. If you don't already have an oscilloscope, you can pick up an okay one for relatively cheap from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B082PYBP94/ Or if you prefer to build it yourself, you can get them in kit form: www.amazon.com/dp/B0195ZIURK/ I wouldn't use one of those for anything high speed, but they can do okay at audio frequencies.

@@BruteClaw Firstly, VERY SORRY brother that I could not follow-up sooner, I had BIG problems with my google sign-in to numerous sites including UA-cam and I could not sign in for months! Secondly, absolute LEGEND for all the info and help provided here, much appreciated! I passed this info & link to my guitar gear repair tech, he is an authorised Behringer repairer, just dropped off the amp there with some others, am expecting an update next week. In the meantime I picked up another GMA106 in great condition, neat little amps that work well with Dist / OD pedals for high gain sounds. 🤘
