Spot-On Scooters
United States
Приєднався 26 тра 2012
Spot On Scooters was born in 2002 in a month to month rental warehouse space. After a year or so, we moved to an old building in downtown COS (pictured) and opened a new scooter dealership with a one lift repair/restoration workshop. We did business as Sportique Scooters Colorado Springs for about 18 years. We were a new scooter dealer, but our backgrounds and passions were solidly rooted in vintage scootering. We moved a few times over the years before landing in our current location. We closed our new scooter showroom in 2016.
In 2021 I suffered a broken leg while riding my Lambretta. I used the time off to reassess the business, and decided to get it closer to what it was when we first started in that warehouse nearly 20 years ago.

Andy's Series 2 Lambretta Li150 - Episode 2
Lovely scooters and great scenery but the back ground music is too loud.
Thanks for watching.
Yet again, another most excellent video. Your music choices, in particular, are inspired...and this is coming from a 70-year-old who worked free-form FM radio back in the mid- and late-70s. Bravo!
Quality vids… keep it up ✊🏻🍗
Tidy job well done from Yorkshire England
What is the RAL number for that color?
I think it's RAL1015. Somehow I can't find it in my notes, do double check this before you paint your GL.
How much are these worth restored?
They are worth whatever the buyer and seller agree upon but restoring a scooter to resell is normally a losing proposition. This is a labor/expense of love and nostalgia, not an investment.
Hi there, England calling. Can you tell me which method of stripping you finally used? The one where you sent all the parts away? Many thanks in advance.
Media blasting
Thanks for the fast response. Do you mean sand blasting? If so, do you not find it too destructive? Just what I've heard on various sites and forums etc. I'm jyst about to get my stuff stripped and was wondering whether to blast or acid dip you see. Thanks again
@@tat007 usually glass bead, but you have to be sure the blasters know how do work with sheet metal.
I can’t watch this with the constant clips, would rather just see the work
Thanks for the feedback. Every other scooter channel has what you want, enjoy.
Fork stops both blown out.
As always, right? I knocked them back in before paint.
Okay...I get the restoration/filled signal holes thing, but the decals? Yikes! I paid the dealer extra $ just to get 'em off my new GTS! Well, a'ight, then...ready for paint!
In 40 years you’ll be buying reproduction GTS decals haha
Great opportunity to delete the signal holes.
@@justinclark7722 it’s a restoration, so back to stock. Though he’s contemplating a color change, so…
Fine work, sir, on a fine scoot!
Okay, bud...I'm all in!
On the road again by Willie Nelson probably the best driving song ever made
What an awesome looking and quality rebuild. Koudos to you buddy.
What great work! Superb and loved every episode. Great editing, clips and music too. I only wish that you lived round the corner and I could buy this machine. Well done.
mantap, salah satu scuter impianku ni bg
We’re do u get your parts
I have several suppliers.
wow man this song rules!!
Did you split the crank and replace the conrod bearing?
No, it’s a new crankshaft.
@@SpotOnScooters I thought that awfully new.
Doesn't need the insert clips 😢 Just the rebuild video
Thats one beautiful scoot. Rallys are so expensive here now,if you can find one.
that's a neat trick with springs for blinkers. will use that, thnx..
good job! one question. is the taillight original? I have a Rally myself but here in Germany it has a completely different taillight.
Yes, several US market Vespas, Lambrettas and many European motorcycles had this CEV "tractor" tail light.
due to different regulations, classic vespas had different lights (and blinkers, i think, this are euro blinkers) in states.
Small spacers for trunnions and cable tension - cool tip!
That's exactly what I learned from the video. I also have the clamping tool and rarely use it because there is often no space for assembly.
Most excellent!
Great Music Astounding Scooter Kevin, atb from Scotland, happy Scootin
I owned this very same model back in 1972.❤ Great scooter but it was very rain shy.😂
Good tip on the lecy tape on the crank 👍🏻
Your videos are awesome - really enjoy the tips and tricks - scoot turned out brilliantly✌🏼
Those metal tie backs are devices of the devil.
Love it Kev. Bringing it back to Birth 👍☘️
Fecking BRILLIANT work mate!
Excellent video(s)! You've inspired me to finish a long-standing SIII project. Great music too.
Bailed out on the music.
I've subscribed for the music and the weird clips, you’re doing good work 👍
That's another like from me. I prefer the Billy Connelly version of D.I.V.O.R.C.E, you should check it out, very funny. First scoot I had was a Rally 200 in light blue, in 1981, loved it!. They are expensive to buy here in the UK. On a very sad note... I was at a fellow Scooterists funeral on the 7th of March for Gary Morrison ,It was emotional and the poem That Gary wrote was read out called - The Scooterists Farewell was VERY emotional. For anyone wishing to pay their respects to a fellow Scooterist I have a video up about Gary's funeral service. The video's title is - Celebrating the Life of Gary Morrison. Best wishes to all from Scotland.Ride safe my friends. Jim🏴🙂
It really is looking good! Now that I lugged an ET2 home -- not running, previous owner sorta hedged about why -- I might have to go back and watch this series again for inspiration!
Really clean scoot. Good job.
I just discovered this channel some great tunes on it !! And the content is great too 😁. I bought my first Vespa in Verona last March a Vespa GL150 1963. I have family in Italy and whenever I go back I take it everywhere, she's an old bike so needs lots of TLC, this channel is helping with that. The next trip for the GL is to Pontedera for Vespa World Days at the end of April, the GL is going home 😁Keep up the good work with the channel and hello from Ireland 👋
Great video!
Yeah...great music. And insert clips. And there's scooter info to learn! A splendid combination. Next, please!
Had a 77 Rally 200 from 1998-2010 and was the exact same color. Not red , but more brown. Have never seen another one the same color until now. Usually all red. Nice work.
Excellent job man, I hope one day I can have the rally 200 too
Going very nicely indeed 👍🏻
I just want to hang out, talk scoots, and listen to music….so good
Holler if you’re ever in COS
toss those signals in the bin,, or sell them and get a buffet Pizza party for Peak Sc at Fargo's
Very nice, getting my 75 rally updated for next year, full Ducati electrics and a mossy 225 sport/ polini box pipe
alot of view but do not follow him.Good jobs man.
keep the turn signals! The femsa. they are so rare now. I have a 74 that also had 1985 tags.
