Half Double Crochet Dishcloth Tutorial
Thank you, Deana, for your great tutorials!! I don't like the tutorials that have NO verbal instructions. I appreciate you explaining what you are doing!!
@@christinewesley9599 thank you for saying that. The whole reason I started this channel is because I wasn't finding the type of videos I wanted. I'm still learning how to film and hope to improve with each video. I appreciate feedback. I'm a little technically challenged and learning as I go.
❤ Hi, Just found your video 😊 This is very pretty. I will be subscribed. Thank you so much❤❤ I'm from Eastern Montana, and I love to crochet. 😊
@Moxie351 thank you. I LOVE Montana. My husband and I went to Glacier last year, and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
@CrochetWithDeana I've got hundreds of my dad family. I moved here 20 years ago to help my sick brother. " he's passed 2 years now. "
@Moxie351 😔
This is so unique, Ive not seen this before. I'm excited to try this out. Thanks for the tutorial.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for the tutorial. After a traumatic brain injury I am more of a visual learner so this is so helpful. I really like the HDC version. If I do that one is the starting chain the same as multiple of 4 +5? Also instead of starting in chain 3 I'm guessing you would start in chain 2? My brain plays tricks on me now so I always ask instead of trusting myself. 😆💜
I did the same number for the foundation chain and started in the 3rd chain from the hook. This makes a chain 2 for the HDC. I normally do a chain 1 for HDC even though most people do chain 2. I like the tighter look that chain 1 does, however, I did the chain 2 version for this start to keep the pattern the same and then did the chain 1 for the rest of the project. I hope this helps.
Do you have a pattern for this?
I have a tutorial on my channel for the almond ridges stitch. I did a foundation chain of 30 and followed the pattern in the video.
@ yeah I know. Love the pattern.
This is beautiful and will include in my next potholder projects. Thanks Deana for sharing. ❤❤❤
This is really pretty. Will try making 2-sided potholders with this stitch. Thanks so much! ❤❤❤
I would love to see a photo!
Sure Deana if it turns out nicely. 😊
Thank you for the very easy to follow tutorial. You are a great teacher 🫶🏻
@minigosia22 thank you!
Very nice stitch, thank you 🙏

Thank you for this easy tutorial. Love from Georgia. ❤
Thank you for this great tutorial. You’re a great instructor 🙂
Nice directions, clear and understandable. Thank you!
Thank you!
Very good ❤❤❤❤
Bring the camera closer please. Nice pattern.
Will do!
Zoom in when it's far away.
Most confusing
What is confusing? Maybe I can help!
Thank you for sharing.
@@AS-lm9xm my pleasure!
Wow, I really like both versions, but the HDC is gorgeous! It would probably make a snuggly blanket. Thanks for the pattern!❤
Yes it would!
This pattern looks really nice! I will use it to crochet a scarf for my daughter. Thank you for sharing ❤
@@SeMosah I'm making a scarf with this pattern right now. I will share when it's completed.
I will put a video short up today of the scarf I made with the almond stitch.
Use the US size for stating your hook sizes please.
H8
You don't need to be so demanding.😂 There are millions of charts all over the internet that show the different sizes by world location. ✌🏻
Does anyone know how to finish the ends?
I apologize for not filming that. I end all the dishcloths the same way. I didn't want to be too repetitive in my videos. You can watch this Alpine Stitch video starting at the 21:09 mark to see the tie off and weave in tail. ua-cam.com/video/aQfg9XtntUU/v-deo.html
Thank You. Love from Ontario, Canada❤❤❤
What a beautiful stitch 🥰 i’m so excited to make several of these. E think I’m going to use the half double since that’s one of my favorite stitches. Thank you for the wonderful pattern🌺
This is beautiful!
@@jeaniecameron295 thank you
For a dishcloth cloth that's to big i want a 8x8 so many chains to do suggest for thst size
@krazymammaw3040 this example is 8.5x8.5 so I would suggest foundation chain of 33 which would be the initial chains of 28 (multiple of 4) +5.
Would this be thick enough for a pot holder if you use the half double crochet?
@pem585 probably not. You could slip stitch 2 together and it would be. This is more appropriate for a wash cloth/dish cloth.
Ok Thank you so much for your reply.Beautiful stitch
Obrigada por partilhar ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊🥰🥰🇵🇹
Thank you for this tutorial! You're a great teacher!

wow that's nice maybe add a voice over or something but that's a pretty clear tutorial coming from a fellow crocheter
Very beautiful i love the pattern ❤
So nice pattern ❤
thank you
I like this texture this stitch makes and, what a pretty color you chose 🌺
@@beverlyjohns2659 thank you
Another great tutorial! 🎉 What would happen if you did 2 in 1 the whole way round rather than going from 2in1 to 1 in 1 on the bottom? Would it just be too bulky?
It would be wavy
Color change starts at 10:58
Very insightful tutorial! Loved that you showed how to crochet in the tail, looks super professional ❤
Thank you! 😊
