I actually prefer to check a bag and just have a personal item to take on the plane. No jockeying for overhead space and no dragging a carryon around if you have a connection. I hope you're having the best time on your cruise and look forward to hearing all about it on your return.

You have some great outfits! I’d love to see a video when you get back of what you actually wore. I planned to do that when Adam and I went to Europe on October but it turns out I’m a terrible UA-camr and barely even took pictures of my outfits 🤦🏻‍♀️ We also did checked baggage (it’s free for international so why not?) and I’m really glad we did. It was nice not to have to cram a bunch of stuff into a little suitcase and then have to keep track of it during layovers and everything. I hope you are having a fabulous time!

Hi Nancy. I love your classic tees. I haven’t made it but have the pattern ready to go! I love both of yours but, the gray one looks amazing. I had a piece of fabric that came from a stash of old stuff and it was like a polo shirt fabric in a tube. That’s the only time I personally have seen any like it. I’m not sure if maybe it just hadn’t been cut apart or if you can still find fabric like that. Keep us posted if you find out. The pumpkin is awesome! I love it! 🍓Have a great week! ❤ Diann

Hi Nancy, love the T-shirts, the Fabric of the Blue one I think came from Jo-Ann's. I have the same fabric, and Grace of (Sew Lovely with Grace ) YT was wearing the same fabric today. 11/1/24. You might like the LN Breckenridge Henley I made one today for my Daughter. I do love that Pattern Company. Also Karina from ( Lifting Pins and Needles) YT has a great tutorial on the neckline of that pattern. Also do you have the Rhapsody Blouse? That is another favorite top!☺️

Great shorts and swimsuit coverup. The cover up could do double duty as a topper over other items ... a solid coloured knit dress, like a tshirt dress, or even just over jeans and a tshirt. Sometimes you need a topper in restaurants if they've got the air con going full blast.

I am so proud of you! I tried making the dress this summer. Key word being TRIED. That bodice kicked my a$$! I ended up throwing it in the garbage with many foul words. I salvaged the skirt section and added a simple bodice with the side zip. I see the pattern in my collection from time to time and am still "mad at it"! LOL Your dress is lovely. Yes Nancy, Sometimes the line drawings on the envelope are hard to read. I COMPLETELY agree that they should have a photo of the back when it's a design element. I thought it was shirring too. They should also label it as Advanced. I made an invisible side zipper on a Butterick B6731 top and I absolutely love it. Your dress is STUNNING!! Wow. I love it. For the bra part, I use silicone but covers that I get them on Amazon. That ruffle was worth it for sure Nancy!!! It came out GREAT!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! 💝💝♥♥❤ I use Steam A Seam and sometimes double-sided tape. ENJOY your trip! You guys are going to look so cute together!! WOW!! 🥰🥰

Hi Nancy, I can’t wait to see your dress! I’m so glad you stuck with the ruffle, it really made the dress and it turned out beautifully. I have that pattern and have not made it up yet but I will next summer. I have a few ideas if you try the ruffle again. Have you heard about using dental floss for gathering? I tried it for the first time the other day and it does make gathering so much easier in my opinion (I will never use double rows of thread again). I would also suggest using double sided tape to tape down the ruffle (or the steam tape you mentioned) to hold it in place once you get the ruffle where you want it. I drew a line on my skirt with a heat erasable marker where I wanted the top of the ruffle to be on my skirt and taped it down so it would not slide while I sewed it.
