So question bc I see that they ask to not post your company name and you did, so is it still ok to or not?
Never mind lol
Great video, brother. Do you have a video doing the cleaning for turno?
Thanks! I don't have a video yet but I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hey Bryañ, do you have a ln email address foe business enquiries ?
Absolutely, hello@watsonhousekeeping.com
@@bryanwatson5873 thanks stacks ....I will drop an email stat
What if they won't let you on the marketplace, how does it work, just finding your own clients, and using the Turno app to do payments, scheduling, checklists and photos etc? 🙏
They told me "we can't accept your application.... We have reached our limit for new cleaners in your area.."Phoenix AZ Lol but it says I can invite my own customers? How does that work?
@@foxmulder7616 they won’t allow you to gain business from their platform but they want you to use you the platform for managing and billing your clients so they can gain money from you. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Hi, thanks for the video. What platform are you promoting your cleaning company on now?
@@msluvmonroe now we get clients through word of mouth and partner with property management companies.
Do you have to have experience?
@@FoxM-k5rnot really but it helps. You can always do some subcontract work for other companies to get experience then leverage it.
@@bryanwatson5873 good to know thank you!
How long does it take for the background check take to come back
It really depends on Turno but it could be as quick as a few days.
I have a airbnb cleaning co in TX and I also vacuum showers 😂
You didn't mention that turno also takes out taxes on the cleaning from your payment of $190 . You are also still going to pay taxes on these payments as well. I suggest trying to take them off platform while this gets you jobs to start You lose significant amount of revenue and profits.
When you’re sending a message to the host, I thought we couldn’t put our business names?
Nope, you can’t. You’ll see at the 10:10 mark that it wouldn’t let me send the message with my business name included. I had to remove it.
@@bryanwatson5873 thank you! Your videos have been very helpful!
Do I have to have insurance to work with airbnbs or to use Turno?
You don't but it's good to have as a safety measure.
Do you have to have experience? I'm to the "do you have experience" button.. and" how many years?"... If you say no, can you still use it? Or should I wait? And do you recommend setting up an LLC and business license, and insurance first? Seems like you should try it, see if you like it first, and make a little money, then do all that, cause what if you set all that up and never use it? @@bryanwatson5873
Do you need to have experience? It aka right away? @@bryanwatson5873
Do you need experience? It's asking if I have experience, and how many years? And do you need an LLC and business license? And if so would you recommend setting all that up before you even start your business? Or wait and see if it's something you even really like to do? Thanks 🙏@@bryanwatson5873
once I get clients, what can I expect as far as payment? Is that up to me to decide what they pay me through?
Yes, the method is up to you but should try to offer cash and card options if possible.
♥️♥️♥️
Thank you!
Hello. Once they accept your bid, what happens after that?
You can do a few things, but I always ask to tour the property so I can get familiar prior to the first clean and get more information on the nuances of their property and the host so that I can provide the best quality service possible.
@@bryanwatson5873 Oh ok. Thank you
Great info! I downloaded turno just the other week, and I gotta say, I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. What a fantastic app!
Thanks and that’s great to hear!
can u bean independent person cleaning? Or do you have to have an actual business and prove it somehow
@@abbynoso3140 you can be independent
Would love to see a video on what to charge maybe an estimate amount so you don’t have to give your personal fees. Thanks for all the information I’ve gained quite a bit of tips from you:)
New Subscriber here… Congratulations on your channel… You have some great info for someone looking into cleaning AirBNB…I Just got approved on the Turno App. Super Excited but nervous about the app.
Thank you for subscribing and watching my videos. It means a lot and congrats on being approved. Just stay consistent with your bidding and adjust where necessary. You'll be just fine.
How long does it take to get a good number of clients/projects through this app?
It really depends on the amount of competition using the app in your area. The less competition the shorter it'll take and vice versa. I would suggest using other methods such as local FB groups in addition to Turno to help build your clientele.
Hi! Thanks so much for your video. I have a residential cleaning service in Colorado. I am looking to expand to Airbnb/short term rentals turn overs. I joined the Turno app however I get the notifications for bids 2 days after the fact. Even though I have notifications on and always check it. Is this normal?
Thanks for your comment. It's not normal. You should reach out to Turno to see why there is a delay.
You service DC, northern Virginia and Baltimore? 😂 How you skip PG and Moco leaving money on the table bruh bruh
No money left on the table. We serve those areas too lol
@@bryanwatson5873 lol I wrote this before I heard the bmore accent bruh I forgot y'all consider PG and Moco both DC 🙏🏿 stay up and thanks for the knowledge bruh
@@hotfeva9843 lol you're welcome. I definitely appreciate it and you do the same 💯
So, I'm starting my cleaning company, and I think we should do laundry off-site for all clients. Of course, we are staryimg small with 3 clients until I feel comfortable to expand out. What are your thoughts about this?
Congrats on starting your business. I think that’s a great idea. Taking laundry off-site saves a lot of time when cleaning a property. Just make sure you bake that extra cost into your rates.
"Kentucky not a city" LOL thanks for this!!
Hahaha
I absolutely love this app! If it wasn't for Turno, I'd be struggling to find jobs in the US to this day!
Great video Bryan, really informative!
Thank you!
Hey I'm new on airbnb Market and on Turno as been the only platform that I use and have not got no bids.Any tips how to get 1...?
Hey! I would say bid competitively and be quick to bid but don’t underbid yourself. Turno gives you a suggested range. Make sure you take advantage of writing the host a note explaining why you’re the best option. Turno has turned into a numbers gane so bid on everything that comes up. Also, don’t just limit yourself to Turno, try other methods as well such as local Facebook groups (I did a video on this as well). Lastly, try subcontracting for others to gather more experience.
With turno can you have others help you or do they have to do the application as well ?
You can have others help you without them having to do the application as well.
Rugs and toilet seat covers are a no sir Especially for air bb Unless you wash after every client
Yes, must wash after every client but I recommend the host having two sets if they must have them.
No one is accepting my bids 😢
It can be a hard process and get discouraging but you have to just keep at it. You have to be literally one of the first to respond. I would also suggest doing this in addition to local Facebook groups.
I want to do this ..but since is my first time do I need to leave a message…
Yes, I would recommend writing a message. It’ll help give you more credibility and give you a chance to persuade the host to choose you over competitors.
Hi, how was the welcome call? Did it really take 30 mins?
Hello, I actually never did a welcome call.
I had mine today and it was about 20-25 min.
Which platform do you use now ??
We’ve built up our reputation and improved our website SEO that we actually get people calling us. We did use FB Airbnb host groups for a while. Just search for people posting about looking for a cleaner and send them a private message them whether it’s a new post or an old post.
Thank you for information I sign up I got approved but I can’t find new customers can you please tell me how I can find new customers and how much % they are keeping?
Turno takes a 5% cut of your payout. With the app you just have to keep bidding but make sure you sell yourself in the comments section. You could also search local Airbnb Facebook groups or contract for other cleaning companies to get experience that you can then use to further sell yourself
@@bryanwatson5873 what other cleaning companies would you recommend?
I been biding haven’t get not one
It can take some time but you have to keep at it. Also, try local Airbnb Facebook groups.
@@bryanwatson5873 I will keep trying and yes I will check the groups. Also when you are bidding they usually give you an idea on the price to bid. Should I bid the same price they give me or should I do my own price ?
What was that item you using cleaning the tub out can you link it so I can buy it
I put a link to it in the video description.
for some reason i can’t get pass the profile to start getting verified. they saying don’t add certain things which i didn’t so did anybody else go through this how did you get pass this
They’ve changed a lot of stuff since I first signed up and require a lot more details. I would recommend reaching out to them directly and have them walk you through the area you’re experiencing issues.
I have the same problem
So are they automatically taking money out once you bid or after job is guaranteed?
They only only take a percentage once you complete a job.
@@bryanwatson5873 Thank you!
@@bryanwatson5873can you give some examples of how much they take from a cleaning that cost X and how much if it costs Y?
Can we send a worker/co-worker to clean or am i required to be at the location once accepted for the bid?
Yes, you can but I would recommend going to do a walkthrough yourself so the client is familiar with you and your processes. Also, you’ll be able to understand the nuisances of their property which you can convey to your worker before they do the first clean. If a walkthrough isn’t possible before cleaning, I would suggest showing up to the first clean with your coworker/worker. You can also just send them but keep in mind they are going to set the first in person impression for your business so if you know they’ll do a great job just go ahead and send them.
Do you need all the badges to get clients
No you don’t need all the badges. Just remember at one point most people had no badges but they found success. Just keep bidding and make sure you sell yourself in the message section.
This man is a marketing genius! Love the shirt, brother!
Thanks, I definitely appreciate it!
For the excessive cleaning fee do you send pictures first to show how bad it is. Have your ever had a badly trashed house before ( with damage?)
Yes, we take before pictures for every clean we do but especially when we need to add an excessive cleaning fee. The pictures are your proof and the hosts proof that the guest trashed the home. The host can use those pictures and your invoice to recover the funds from the guest.
To answer your second question, I've had it happen about two times so far
Hello! Thanks for your video! I actually got approved but the offers disappeared after I could to send bid. Is there any setting I can do to start?
Hello, just want to make sure I understand. The offers are disappearing right after you send a bid? In order to start on a job, the host has to accept your bid and send you jobs.
Hey Bryan! I am the Co-founder/CEO of a company in the STR space and am trying to better understand the daily life of a cleaner and their biggest pain points. I would love to set up a call to hear first hand from you if you would be interested! (I can pay you for your time)
How long does it take to get approved cause it’s been like 5 days
They have become a lot more strict since I first signed up two years ago. It could take 1-2 weeks possibly longer. You could always reach out to them to get more details on the approval process.
@@bryanwatson5873 I got approved today thanks
@@anitamany4840 great!
When you said DMV, I started to wonder where exactly. I’m also in DMV. But that Baltimore accent came out when you said, “stayed tuned.” I knew it right then, haha but great video man!! 💪🏽
Hahaha yep straight from Baltimore but we service the whole DMV. Thank you though!
Can you give examples of the cleaning contract?
Send me a message on Instagram and I can share an example.
Does anyone charge per square foot? I have a friend who does this at 10-13¢ per square foot
You can definitely charge by square footage. We charge by number of bedrooms, bathrooms, levels and additional tasks. Either way is fine if it works for you.
Your videos are short and sweet yet packed with so much value! Thank you so much for doing this - it’s so valuable!
I look forward to your videos!
@@nelidhlamini you're welcome and I'll be sure to keep them coming!
Did you have to pay for this website?
It’s free to use. They will take their cut from your payout so nothing out of your pocket.
How much do you charge for the airbnb per unit and how many rooms are they
In that video I cleaned a studio, 2bd 2.5ba and 1bd 1ba. I charged just under $100 for the two smaller units and a little over $150 for the 2bd. Keep in mind pricing will depend on the need for the property you’re cleaning.
