how do u achieve a 150 hotspot
Reets stack of wood or tile flats. Then a 70 dollar, high watt UV bulb in a reflective hood
You explain very well I am rouning my home made spliter . I understood very well
Hi can yuo please send me nomber on dump valve ,I'm having hard time getting one thank you very mutch
Look up splitez dump valve. They have different ones rated for different gpm ratings
Id like to see it in action!
Did you do this with the transmission still in?
Yes
How the hell did u get it past the last point I got it so close but somthing holding me back deep inside
@@michaelstone-nw8lh there is a little peep hole on the side. I was also holding my phone up to video, and a magnetic flashlight shining in the hole. Took me a couple of hours of just trying over and over. Really frustrating
If you could, edit the name of video, I almost didn't watch it because it said 2001,ty. And you did get it out, without pulling transmission. What's technique for it.
@@barryjamestowlejr8393 the bolt is captured. Just leave it plugged it, unbolt it, and pull it out by the harness
Can you tell me what the part numbers are on the Dump Valve cartridge and valve body block. Its stamped right on the parts.
No, I'm not sure what they are selling now, but I believe split geeze sells a different model number now. I'd recommend googling them and buying the dump valve that fits your exact usage. They have 2-3 different gpm ratings
Keep the hydraulic hoses long, they help to cool the oil... as they dissipate heat
Great video. This was very helpful. I'm in the middle of building a vertical log splitter similar to the axis but a little bit more heavy duty. It's also gonna have a 28GPM pump. I'm curious if the 1" lines going into a 3/4" port really helps with flow. I love the dump valve, so thanks for telling us where you got it. They are not a commonly available thing. I'm setting the vertical splitter for speed, so flow rate and minimizing restrictions is key and also to keep the heat down. Right now the plan is to with a 4" cylinder but I'm gonna have to weld some larger 3/4" ports onto it to make it fast. Mine will also have a 25 gallon tank. Filtration was also a concern for me. Where did you gat that 80GPM filter housing, I've been looking around and the best I could find so far was 50GPM. I'd rather have it over sized than under sized. I'd love to see your splitter run in real time to see how fast it actually is. I couldn't find a video with it in action on your channel.
Speed, this thing is pretty slow. 12 seconds I think. That giant 6 inch cylinder really slows things down. But it will put a 35 inch wide knotty oak piece through that 8 way wedge which is really nice. The 1 inch lines don't help with flow, they only reduce the heat. That giant filter is from surplus center and I believe it has some giant thread like 1-1/2. I love it though, it should last forever damn near. I also turned a 40 ton county line into my fast resplit machine. Replaced the cylinder with a 3.5 inch cylinder from rugged made. And with that 25 GPM pump that's on it, it runs 5 second cycles times. Absolutely a monster. Let me know what more you'd like to see, and if I missed anything in this response
@@cocoscorner6419 Thanks for the quick response man! That's kinda why I went with a 4" and a 28GPM pump...to make it fast. I'm not sure if it's gonna be fast enough. I might have to go to a 3.5 or 3" cylinder. According to the calculations, I'm looking at about 4.5 second cycle time , with the 4", but thats if the flow isn't restricted much. You definitely need a dump valve on that huge cylinder. I might need to do the same to get a faster retract time because the valve body becomes the restriction on the retract. I've seen quite a few vertical splitters on the tube with 3" cylinders and smaller 22GPM pumps, with no dump valve, that move pretty damn quick. I have an account on Surplus Center, I'll have to check and see what they have. Coincidently, the beam and splitter head that I'm using is from a Northern Tool 37 ton splitter that had a 5" cylinder on it. I'm selling that 5" cylinder to try and recoup some of the cost of the splitter I'm building. 😏
Cool 😎
Where did you get the dump valve?

Was the PVC from Home Depot & are these safe to stack if scaled up to 7ft Long x 3ft Deep??
PVC came from a wholesale composite supplier, cages that big should probably have additional supports if stacked
How thick is the sheet?
I would love to order one of these how do I order?
I'm sorry to inform you that due to some family matters, we are no longer building cages
Interested in buying one of these from you guys, could you tell me how to get ahold of you for more details on prices for different sizes?
I’m looking into making an enclosure for my ball python but I can’t find anything that would work where did you get the pvc??
A plastic and polymer supplier that's local to Detroit. The only way we could make it for a reasonable price was bulk orders of 25 4x8 sheets at a time
Sick enclosure man! Is PVC board same as SINTRA board? TIA
To be honest, I have no idea lol
I love these "for dummies" videos that take place in a professional wood shop. /s
Us too!!
Whilst showing pretty much none of the build process.
Exactly... just get you a saw, woodshop table, know the measurements on hand 😂
Hi great video, I have a question I’ve asked a lot of places to buy pvc board but seem to not understand what I’m looking for to build my own enclosure. What is the “correct” board name or what is the material of the pvc board?
It is 1/2 inch expanded PVC The biggest problem is sourcing it. It took us a long time to find a supplier and it wasn't until we were buying 15 sheets at a time that the price became low enough to be cheaper than buying a premade cage
I’m guessing you’re still not making them but I’d pay if you’ve come back to it for some reason. I hope all is well with your family, great video, I may have to try it!
Yeah, I'm sorry but I've actually found some much more lucrative side gigs so I never got back into cage building
Whick bulb are you using
Love that michigan weather right? Try basement with frogs lol
How old is your ackie? He’s super active.
How often do you need to change out all the substrate?
Where are you located in Michigan??
Oakland county
@@cocoscorner6419 do you still build cages? Or could you kind of walk me through building my own? This video is great but not in depth. I’m pretty crafty
@@katiebug5273 the problem is finding the material. If you can find pvc sheets for a decent price, then you cut it down so the sides fit on top of the bottom piece, and then we would clean the edge with acitone and use a PVC glue and then brad nail it to hold it in place while the glue dried. Then for the glass we used 1/4 in thick non tempered glass that rode in tracks we made using a router table. Just made the tracks an extra .030 inches wider than the glass
@@cocoscorner6419 I wondered how hard it was to find the PVC here in Michigan. I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on a router. I’ve never actually used one before. We’ve soooo many other tools just not anything really of that sort.
@@katiebug5273 right on. It's a learning experience. You could see the quality of the cages we made drastically increase for the 5 we made
This video is useless trash
I’m interested in a cage love the builds

“For dummies” and people with a workshop and all the tools yeah okay then
Yeah. Just like all home made things, it's cheaper than buying it so long as you have 7k in tools lol

What’s the incubation temperature for ackie monitors ?
84 degrees and mine hatch between 118-121 days
@@cocoscorner6419 so in C* between 29 to 32 than ?
@@ImmanuelPatton you'd have to google the conversion my friend. I've never used celsius. And a 3 degree swing in celsius would be way to high. My incubator stayed within + or - .3 degrees
@@cocoscorner6419 thank you so much ! I was able to find a way to switch it
What’s the incubation time ackie monitors
At 84 degrees fahrenheit my ackies hatched between 118-122 day on average. Sometimes it takes upwards of a week after they start pipping for them to actually hatch out.
