LX3310 with Kubota front mounted snowblower

Next storm, still going with the LX3310. This is not much as far a snow amount is concerned.

Just some playing around with the Mavic. I had not actually used any of the pre-programmed auto flight functions. So I though yesterday might be a good day to get out there and test them. The end of the video is just me playing around in Sport mode seeing how hard I can press Raptor-2. I did almost turf it a couple times...but thankfully sensors and fast responses by me kept me in the air!

A quick (less than 10 minute video) from the snowy NEPA region. The winds were a little too much to stay up very long. But I wanted the aerial perspective after the storm. Music provided royalty free by: bensound.com

Montrose 2018 4th of July show on the 4th. Always a good show but only one camera angle due to lens fogging issues. The audio isn't the best either sorry...I chose to leave out the extras on this video as well.

Omega Image Photography filming at the 2018 Highland Park (Town of Union, NY) 4th of July fireworks display. There might still be some colorful language in this one...I went with the long mic audio with hopes it would cut it down. But I was having some still camera problems so there is some colorful language in there. LOL!!!

This is the 1080p version with multiple cameras on the 2018 Harborfest show. The show was as always a great one...not the best location for setup but now I know this for future reference. Shot on a Canon 60d and a GoPro with the audio coming from a Zoom H6.

2018 Highland Park, NY 4th of July fireworks finale. Yet another awesome finale, possibly even the best one of the year for those of us that like to "feel" the show. The salutes in the mid-finale were very intense and able to be felt at the range I shot this video from...closer would have felt more intense and I usually set up at a decent range away from the closest on the local shows for frami...

      I can't say about other brands, but the LX series was known for this noise. The new LX models make less of it and the cab does a better job of isolating it as well.

    I’ve watched 2 videos in a row of LX tractors and the cab noise is loud on them.

    • @omegawolf81
      @omegawolf81 Рік тому

      I have run many pieces of equipment big and small. The amount of noise in the cab is not all that loud considering the construction. If you want a quieter cab buy a big tractor. At this size it is plenty quiet. I routinely run the radio in this tractor and do not need to crank it very high to hear it.

      Truly....my garage at the time had FAR more in it that would have been perishable if left outside. It resides in the garage when it is not being used for storage for other proposes. Also, do you realize how much floor space this takes when parked.

    Did you engage the PTO with it throttled up?.... Kind of seems like it... If you are doing that you're going to end up breaking something

      I might have but if I did I don't do it one in 1000x. You would find more of the time I engage the PTO after a broom/blower switch and it doesn't engage as I did not throw the lovejoy into position. I am getting better on remembering that but once in awhile it still happens.

    When lowering the blower are you able to put it in float?

    • @omegawolf81
      @omegawolf81 2 роки тому

      Yes, which is how I use it. Trying to put it at a static level is a bad idea unless you have a completely level flat surface. This video doesn't show it but most of the areas I move snow are neither flat or level. The blower works amazingly well even down to about 2 inches of snow. Below that not so much. I plan on doing a video with the power broom eventually but just haven't gotten to it yet.

      @@danmcgivern1345 Hey who doesn't like to enjoy heat while moving snow? HAHAHAHA We had an ice storm here late last week and the blower was of no use float or no float. The power broom was not even that useful. As I told everyone, I would have rather had 12" of snow. Least that way I could move it and be done. I love our Kubota LX3310! Makes the yucky winter tasks much more "enjoyable" well as much as possible.

    What tires do you have on your tractor? How do you feel they perform in the snow without any chains? I live in Alaska and have a BX 2660 without a cab and getting tired of becoming in a domino snowman every time I use my snowblower. Seriously looking at getting the LX 3310 with the 60 inch snowblower and 60 inch mower deck but having a hard time deciding if I should go with the R4 or R14 tires.

    • @omegawolf81
      @omegawolf81 2 роки тому

      We have the R14's on it. I have personally taken it through some pretty nasty snow depth and not had much problem. The only time I have traction issues is when I am on straight up ice. Then it doesn't do as well, but name a tire that does. I can also attest to the R14's on turf and normal lawn grass. They are much better than R4's there in my opinion. I used this tractor with the front mounted broom to do my dethatching of my lawn this spring. worked great...took me like 30 minutes. No ruts, no major issues from the tractor tires. I love our 3310 and blower. We are currently having an electrical issue that the dealer is coming to get the tractor about in the next couple days. It has an error code and would not start for a couple days. But aside from this hiccup I really love the thing. Previous to this I was using an open ROPS skidsteer for all our snow moving. So a seriously warm and toasty upgrade!

      @omegawolf81 2 роки тому

      @@Radfisher1 No problem! Thanks for the question about the R14's! Since they were only on the market for a short time before we bought our tractor it was a bit of a hard choice. But they are a really good tire. I don't have issues with them clogging up in snow. And they have enough traction without anything on them to push the blower uphill in about 8-10 inches of snow. The uphill grade would be 10-15% if you are careful we can go up our one driveway with the same amount and it has closer to a 25-30% grade. So yes...we like the combination of these tires, that model and the blower.

      Thanks! She is a fun ride that is for sure. A definite upgrade over running our 1999 Case 1838 skidsteer. No cab just the ROPS and no blower just a bucket! This is way faster and to be honest...a little more fun. I didn't do the dethatching video due to rushing to get it done. But the rotary broom on the front of this does a very good job of that and small amount snow cleanup. The cab throws so much heat I am not sure it could get cold enough for me to not move snow now. Thankfully they had 2 LX3310's sitting on the lot when I went over to inquire about it. They had a bit of trouble sourcing the blower took a few weeks. But the dealer we dealt with was very good about finding the equipment quite quickly. I would suggest stocking up on shear pins for the auger. • @omegawolf81
      @omegawolf81 4 роки тому

      No this was shot this morning Al. As you can see the small pond is but that is only about 4-6ft deep in most spots so it cools much quicker allowing it to ice over. The lake in the video was Heart Lake and as you see only a small portion has iced so far, we have not really had the overnight temps for that kind of freeze yet. I was more concerned with covering Raptor 2 with the winds being borderline un-flyable and trying for more cinematic shots. Still getting the swing of my bird, but coming along nicely.
