En vivo. El Mocambo 1978. Una tremenda canción, con un solo de guitarra realmente asombroso cortesía de Elliot Easton.
Wow Wow & Wow!!!! After all the years gone by this just shows you what fantastic musicians these guys were!!!! Miss Ben though!!
One of their best songs, live even much better than the album record. I don't understand why it has not been released as a single.
~1:50 You've got some jets insiiiiiieeeduh 🤩
BENJAMIN.........PHWOARRRRRRR !!!!!!!! 💖💝💛❤️🍑💟💘💋🔥🙀
Benjamin: so hot, so adorable and just so FLAWLESS.❤❤❤
Were and are absolutely great!
downright hair-raising, goose-bump inducing -- tremendous performance -- their absolute peak right there! 🏁
❤❤❤Ben
Loved the TAMA drums he used on the tour !
Notwithstanding the band’s then current internal conflicts, outside of the studio this version of this song is unequivocally the singular pinnacle moment of their entire performing career 🎉
The Cars were nothing without Ben, you blew it with your total control Ric. Silly man..... 😢
Silly comment....
❤❤❤❤❤
I seen the cars at alot of stadium s with like 5 bands playing never put on a bad show one of the best 👌 bands that ever came out of Boston 😊
Elliott Easton, one south paw to another, if you're out there, "" Can i have just 1 of your wore out guitrs, Just "" 1"" ,Please??? Cheers!!!
Greg y Elliot en sintonía, se nota la falta de Ben. Rick en otro mundo no canta ni toca igual era una estatua cantando,Elliot salvó el dia con sus solos de guitarra, es genial. David no pierde su ritmo grande de la batería. Amo a the cars.
Bummer Ben Orr passed...
Benjamin orr o homem mas lindo que já vi saudades de vc ❤
The Cars best songs were sung by Ben.
Simmmmmm
Simmmmmmmm
My band covered this within a few weeks of this album's release. So fun to play.
My Brother Was At The "El Mocambo". Very Few ....Recognised The Cars Talent...In 1978. He Did! I'm Sorry That I Missed Them...What A Treasure To See And Hear Them In Such A intimate Performance Setting. The Cars Were Tops! Thanks.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
this song is what it means to truely be a band...timing is everything
ТАЛАНТЫ ВСЕ! 👌🇸🇮
Wow.. just hearing Beatitude for the first time... this really is the Prequel to Heartbeat City.. the jump from Shake it up to Heartbeat was massive. This album makes it more understandable.
chicken head
i miss ben !
Awesome performance.
So classy and ultra dynamic professionals ! They knew what they were doing !!
👌👌👏👏🇸🇮
Man. I feel like Greg doesn't get enough credit for how good he is. The way he and Elliott played off each other during that jam session was unbelievable. Best part. Elliott is fantastic. You can see the harmony they still had even then.
I just can't believe how great they sounded live. But I should understand it. I always thought they were great growing up. And I only listened to The Cars Greatest Hits album on cassette in my Walkman so much. I knew they were special. But then seeing and hearing songs like "Dangerous Type" and the classic stuff makes me appreciate them so much more. Ric and Ben are upstairs probably enjoying themselves. Elliott is awesome! As is David and Greg. What a legendary band!
Where is Ben???
Elliot you are the man. Unbelievable on the guitar
Ocasek's greatest inside the heart homerun.
Fantastic!
That was amazing.
From our teenage years 1977 to now being bona-fide members of AARP, THE CARS was an integral part of our youth and long into put adulthood. We're still here, dedicated fans, as they were dedicated to their fans. Immortal via film and recordings, Ben and Ric, long and even still longer gone.... this that remains allows us to return to our carefree youth. Indeed life is so short. Too short our time here.
Peculiar star That's who you are Do you have to win? 😉🔥🌹
Muito lindo e sexy😍💕💋
This group, like wine, gets better and better with age, I was not a fan back then, then I started liking them, then loving, and now I'm addicted to them. I wish I could say this to the songwriters of the group but they are both gone... :(
Such an awesome song, killer band ! I really miss being able to see them, thank God for these videos.
Anyone who really cares about The Cars will find out easily that Ric did end the band therefore destroying 4 other people's careers. But he didn't care because he knew he'd be doing fine with his own management and publishing company for years and years. Please start searching websites, radio interviews, online interviews and rock magazines. You will find out a lot about what happened in 1987. The best mag to check out is Goldmine August 1997. It's a very long article 8 or 10 pages interviewing every member of the band. I can't list everything here but you will be shocked at what some of the comments were. Also Paulina is on UA-cam with some great interviews about how her husband was selfish and overbearing. Incredibly she said that he married her mostly for her beauty and in the year's after when it started to fade he started treating her "like pieces of furniture not really communicating." That's why she filed for divorce 2 years before he died and then as many know he cut her out of his Will after she had put all her millions from modeling into the marriage there was no prenup. Poor Ben he loved touring and playing live that was his life and it was just ended by Ric not wanting to tour any more. But Ric made more money than the others because of his song writing publishing revenue. The only way for the other guys to make any real money was by touring so that was very selfish. As you'll read in the Goldmine magazine article things were not going well for the last tour. They knew the D2D album was not good .Ric had taken over the whole thing and production of the album without consulting the other band members. Ben is quoted as saying that they always collaborated on every other album. They were not happy at all. Ric canceled many tour dates really making it worse. I wish they had just taken a breather or even discussed maybe quitting but not immediately as it was quite a shock to all of the band members. The other band members are quoted as saying that even though there were problems and they were angry with each other they never thought that it would be the end of the band. Some people say that by 1987 the music had changed and that's why The Cars were not popular anymore instead of saying the truth at the last album was not good. But I don't believe that because they had just come off a triple platinum Heartbeat City and their appearance at Live Aid . There is no way they would have dropped to where nobody liked them that fast!
Yeah and all of that is YOUR business Mary and you were present for all of it.
Thank you for your time sharing information.... The Cars were and still are my favorite.
Music & tastes did change in the late '80s (Guns 'n' Roses) and again in the early '90s (Nirvana). But yeah, D2D was a weak album. Basically, Ric took total control with Heartbeat City, and there was less input from the other band members. The music became less interesting, and they didn't gain any younger fans. Sad end to a fantastic band. Though Move Like This had a couple of good songs in their classic style. Just wasn't the same with Ben, though. Elliot remains one of my all-time guitar idols.
@@VIDS2013 And no amazing guitar solos from Easton on "Move Like This", which is really disappointing.
PUSHIN AND A POPPIN, RICS FUCKIN ROTTEN CORPSE( IN CASKET)
Love when Elliot catches on 🔥🔥🔥🧨🎇🎇🎇
Still listening to the amazing band in ,Dec. 2021 💜💜💜
