Handgrey H4 Carabiner

A review of the Handgrey H4 Carabiner as featured on: www.gearjournal.com
compare the yeti tundra 35 vs that. the soft cooler isn't a fair comparison
But comparative size makes a difference. At not much bigger than the yeti this cooler is far more efficient. A hard sided yeti will be much better of course but it’s also much larger than the oyster.
The whole point of an oyster is to not use ice 🧊 you’re supposed to use their “thermal battery”
That’s not the case actually… In fact, I found that their ice pack replacements aren’t as efficient as ice. However, if you put cold cans in the Oyster without ice, they stay cold for a good 48 hours vs. the Yeti which keeps them cold for just under 24…
I don't think their thermal battery is the whole point. It's merely a suggested option. Ice is just as effective, with the only drawback being melted water.
@@qy05 read their website of course you can use ice but it’s a “no ice needed” cooler and it’s why the gel packs are included. It’s optimized for use with ice packs
Yeti was kept zipped… Oyster can open from either side and stays in position.
Awesome cooler
Does the lid on the oyster stop itself when opened or does it flop all the way backwards if you let it go?
Does not flop over. Can be Opened either side
I just got a black 7L pilot and I am absolutely in love with the look and functionality. So much so that now I want the 18L pilot backpack as well. Picking up a used one later today from a seller. I am ready to sell all my other 20 camera bags!
Great review, as a new camera hobbyist.. figuring out which bag to buy is crazy hard. I think your review pushed me to the Pilot… now I just gotta decide between the 7L or 10L lol
Would it be possible to fit a 13-in MacBook in the tablet compartment?
I think you can on the 10L
Great review. Thanks for going in depth! I have an m11 and I almost always have the visoflex 2 attached which makes the vertical dimension of the camera just over 4.5” . I often like to carry it with my Voigtlander 75mm 1.5 which makes the front to back dimension of the camera close to 5” . I’m wondering if the 7 liter pilot could accomodate this settup or if you think I’d be better off with the 10L ? Thanks very much!!
So is the 1000D still available? I couldn't see what happened to it. I know it was some time ago. Thanks.
Plastic hardware is a red flag for me, probably this bags only weakness
You, sir, answered exactly the questions I had in mind! Thanks for this well made review.
i just discovered this brand and it's unbelievable how they nail my preferences and ideas. I just bought my first Worancraft bag and I already love them. Just a great brand. Now for some pink colorways please >:)
is this the second version of the sling?
Wow ! Amazing review ! Thank you !! 🫡
My 7L pilot with 2 zippered pouches came in a couple weeks ago and what a great bag. I'm able to carry both my M240 bodies with a CV 35/1.4 on one and a Zeiss 50/2 planar on the other along with a CV 28/2 Ultron II and Leica 90/2.8 Emarit-M lenses. I like it so much I pre-ordered a 3.5L Pilot for a smaller carry. Nice video.. Thanks
I would like to see a comparison of the 7L vs 3.5L in use.
@@drr5117 I don't know if anyone has made a video with both, but the 3.5L is very nice with enough room to carry a Leica M240 body with a lens mounted along with 2 other lenses with no problems. By adding the extra storage pouch I can carry a flash or whatever else I want.
@@AIP404 I have used them as lens pouches after adding a padded lens bag/pouch inside to protect them more.
@@AIP404 The connections are secure, but it all depends on the lens you plan on carrying. I use small Voigtlander M mount lenses
Love your practical attitude! Taiwan makes some great products.
How well do the two additional pouches fit on the 7L?
Good review have one , Only couple of negatives have (small ones) tilled over to the side if wearing next to hip& when bag is expanded and filled looks a bit odd shape
It’s not plastic. It’s plasticized steel. Please stop saying it’s plastic lol.
Wish it wasn't so hard to get one of these! Great vid!
Give a shout out to JT since I'm sure you got the idea from him
Whats the company that mods them?
it's ideal. I use it for my Canon m6 Mk II and a few lenses... with plenty of room for other things.
I was looking at this bag and this is a great useful review of its advantages. I currently use Thinktank Retro bags, but I like how this seems lighter and configures to your body. I have also used Domke bags in the past and liked those.
Just Ordered it. Also Have my Peak Design which I do like aesthetically . However I was looking for a different bag and this is it.. Thanks form the review!
Is your 1000d still up for sale?
"Tripod overpriced.." well, so is the Goruck in the second hand market, lol.. But, duh, I shouldn't have sold my regular Bullet 15 after watching this! Thanks for your great video!
Xpac is great material~
That scars mod makes me think heavily about this…
How did you mount the top of the tripod?
Just a piece of shock cord that wraps around the top molle strip and then around the tripod.
Would’ve been nice to see you wear it !!
he did use it at the end
I'm laughing sooo hard, right now :) I had exactly the same... first a cheap bag, then a Filson one, later the Peak Design 6L and now I'm looking for a new bag hahah
Hi, since this older video, I have made some changes. I got myself an old Domke F2 with waxed canvas. I bet Wotancraft has some awesome gear too, but I wanted to try to spend money on my lenses, and tickets, instead of bags. I can really recommend the Domke F2, even if it's oldschool and in many ways more of a nostalgic choice. @@daveed4475
Helpful review. Nice job. Thanks.
You need to check out a Billingham 20/20 bag I really don’t think you will look back
Great video! If one isn't a camera user but just looking for a good crossbody bag for urban use (NYC), would you recommend this bag (the Peak design bag seems more necessary for a photographer, not me)? I like well-made, thoughtfully designed and executed, comfortable bags with lots of pockets for phone, charger, book, keys, glasses, package windbreaker, notebook. I am female and 5'6." Many thanks. Might be barking up wrong tree.
have a look at direct action messenger bags, theres 2 sizes the large has more pockets than you'll ever need, look good as well.
@@ashtonal.2634 thanks for writing back! I’ll have a look.
The best bag ! - In love with my Khaki 10L
Really useful review. Thanks.
Great review!
This is the perfect type of review. Straight to the point, basic and accurate. Some of those popular reviewers can learn a thing or two from you.
Thanks for this review this was super helpful!
I bought one of their canvas wallets and after about a month of using it almost all of my cards were very warped from being kept in the outside card sleeves. I don't know if that's an issue with slim wallets in general but I haven't seen anyone else mention it online. They do look great but I don't think I'd recommend buying one.
How did you carry it - front or back pocket? I’ve used similarly designed wallets in my front pocket for years without warping cards.
@@brandonmoodie9258 A mix of both. It seems like if you have cash or a few cards in the middle it bulges everything out which may cause warping.
Yeah I had like $20 in singles and fives in the middle of the wallet and my license and other plastic IDs were all bending. This is my first slim wallet tho so no sure if that’s a thing either
So do you think the pockets would ever get loose to where the cards or whatever wouldn’t have a tight fit anymore ? Or is it too soon for that question
I'm hoping so; I just received mine and can't for the life of me figure out how to get the cards back out. They are so tight, I can't get my fingers in there to pull any of them out!
Thank you for the review
What kind of car is that in the back?
i'm going to buy this specific version the H4, already bought the H1 from massdrop.
Which one do you recommend more H1 or H4?
@@JacobHamilton_22 get the h4, it's a bit more compact and has unique design.
@@jarnbjorn4522 Ok thanks for the info!
Is it worth the price in your opinion??
@@JacobHamilton_22 it's a little expensive, but if you're gonna get it just this once i'd say go for it.
what material is the spring made? im looking for salt water use and anything other than marine stainless, or titanium will not cut it (with respect to the spring)
looks like the spring is integrated into the titanium design. So it's all titanium
I'm considering this bag; is it fairly padded in the laptop area? Couldn't really see it in your video.
