@@jackmartin929 A classic trial car is almost to prepared for pcts. It's a good way to practice driving your car off road and finding the grip. Steering lock needs improving on a beetle for these. Even then it was still tight a few times.

@@MiniDaly87 I wasn't using the torque figures. Just wanted them to sit even and the same to give them a chance of sealing. I really want to replace the nuts. I don't know why I didn't order any.

@@adammcintosh3546 Was from Stoke on Trent. Was a gentleman's car he had and was sold on when he died. I purchased it as a non runner with no MOT.

My Dad had a 240 gl in canary yellow, one snowy night an Opel manta hit it. We had to peel what was left of the manta away to reveal a cracked indicator cover on our volvo, 8 year old me was fast asleep in the back and didn't wake up until the flashing blue lights woke me.

@@SimpsonsClassics Thanks. Yes still the cutting and buffing to do. Was really let down by the spray cans. I didn't want to crack out the spray gun for a little repair like that. Will hopefully see you at an event in your Volvo. Loving that build series.

Thanks for the comment. No difference in handling. The wheel bearing was really loud. Especially when turning right. If you have play in the bearing it can affect your handling.

Thank you for your comment. It is standard. Unfortunately they don't have alot of lock compared to modern small fwd cars. That can pull themselves round on the handbrake aswell. That's mainly what these sections are set up for. Still great fun though.

It was so weird. Never had that before. It's completely flat now. Would of only had 30psi in it.

Yeah wasn't to bad. Did what I could to not round off the triple square bolts. Abs sensor was worried I'd break it. It's a nearly 10 year old car with 164k on it.

@@Slippingclutches91 I was waiting for you to say it snapped. The abs sensors you nearly order them before going near them there that brittle

Was all very chilled. I was more introuble incase the precious beetle got damaged.

They were originally going to have a flat 4 engine I'm led to believe. Also the reason the master cylinder is below the drivers feet. They went with a side valve engine in the early ones then went onto the A series.

Access for plugs and rocker box then? It would have sounded like a Subaru :o) @@Slippingclutches91

@@teamidris Yes sounds like it then. Saves removing the engine to do the plugs like on newer Subarus .
