Tremec T56 Rebuild Assembly & Shimming w/ New Bearings
Assembly of my T56 for my 98 Firebird after rebuild.
To include assembly of components and box ready to go back inside the car, installation of new bearings, shimming of mainshaft, countershaft, & countershaft extension.
I'm not a professional. If you see something I did wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. This was my first time ever rebuilding any transmission ever. All my research came from other UA-cam videos and the manual from Tremec.
Was already semi-rebuilt before I opened it up, but the previous rebuilder (Spartan LSX Performance, stay away from them) forgot to install one of the snap ring retainers for the output bearing so it was starting to grenade itself since the bearing was no longer aligned in the race. I inspected the gears, keys and bearings for wear. I replaced all bearings except for the countershaft as those appeared fine. Countershaft extension 5/6 gears/cluster I replaced.

A necklace with the planet Saturn and the letter "D" for Destiny. I ordered a piece of brass bar stock on Amazon for 12 bucks. I've never tried to make anything like this before. I think it turned out alright.

15-year-old builds diy stereo
Переглядів 378 років тому
I was 15 when I built this fully functioning ghetto stereo system. The grey boxes used to be old print server boxes which now house the electronics. The components used primarily consisted of 5 lm386s, each with an individual high pass or low pass filter. The subwoofer electronics were gathered and recycled out of old car stereos which I used to make a bass amplifier circuit with.

What was your source for rebuild instructions, parts, and tolerances?
Ultra impressive watching you rebuild this gearbox with one hand. That cat at the beginning was quite interesting also
Thinking of one for my 97 zx6r f3. 🤔
Check the amp spec, it likely handles a 2 ohm load. If it does, you can wire the subs to 2 ohm and get even more sound.
😍 P R O M O S M
Do you have the link for where you bought yours?
I found your review on Amazon! I just bought the single 12 of the same bundle. Can i just pull out the ground, REM, R/L, etc wires from my precious amp to power this setup, or do i need to go to an installer? I have zero knowledge of electronics/car audio😅
Thanks for reaching out! I think if you had an amp pre installed, instead of using a line output converter, you could just swap it if I understand you correctly.
What one did you buy ?
I have the RV12.2B 1200W 12" kit, thinking of wiring it to 2 ohms to push it to it's limits believe it's wired to 4 ohms rn whatever is factory.
Have you considered running the wires you tapped into directly into the high level inputs of the amp? It will eliminate the need of the LOC and Line Driver you have installed. ALSO...less points of possible noise. (also if you did that, you could have eliminated the need of a remote turn-on as it would turn on from sensing the voltage in the inputs) I am about to do an install in my Charger without RCAs and I have an LOC to use if the High-Level doesnt work. Will see whats best.
I did think about that but I believe it specifically states not to do that on the disclaimer packet for the amp / instructions. I decided to not because I didn't want to risk blowing up the amp with too much current flowing through it. Also, my remote turn-on is just wired to my fuel pump if you watch the video. Thanks for your input!
nice
I've bought 4 Rockville products, all refurbished and I must say they all exceeded expectations
I am still using the exact same setup today, still works exactly like it did when I first installed it. Maybe not the loudest setup, but definitely sounds super clean.
It is a really cool projet do you publish the cad part ?
Uh that fuse needs to be as close to the battery as possible
I've been installing for quite a while you never want it that far you will burn up your whole wire if anything goes wrong as apposed to a short piece with it closer
@@skylerirwin6139 Good point. However, your fuse is not the correct size if your wire is burning up before the fuse blows.
Who sold you that on eBay? You don't mind sharing.
Check Factory Pro out of California got one for my Suzuki.
very good
wow !!! i like it
Bagus banget
Should pull out when the drill is still spinning to avoid scoring the wall
Excellent observation! However, or you can squeeze the springs which apply force outwards to the glazing stones inwards before you pull the tool out, which is what I do in the video. If you keep the drill spinning while you pull it it out, you may slightly chamfer the top edge of the cylinder bore as this tool does not have the stones at a fixed angle.
Muito bom

Very nic., If you were to do this again, how would you go about making it faster?
Thanks for your interest. Had time allowed, I was going to implement matrix calculations using inverse and forward kinematics to calculate movements. Although it's quite a bit of math, it works quite well and is reflective of how modern robotic systems operate.
@@Toxlicious i would also suggest using gear ratios to get some higher rpm movement from the stepper motors. they aren't that fast but have a lot of torque which can be converted
Do these come wired at 4ohm?
Huge help, I'm going to order the same thing for my '06 250R. thanks for the video!
Awesome
I bought this same one but I cannot figure out why it won’t work or how to tap into a speaker got any tips. I own a 2022 Honda Civic and I can’t change the head unit

Nice bike
What wire did you use to plug in the back of sub box
The stock wire that came with the Rockville subs
How is the system running, I heard that the amp gets hot pretty quick and it goes to protect mode, have you had that issue and do you recommend Rockville
I haven't had any issues with the amp. It does get warm but not too warm to touch. Doesn't get warm enough for me to have reason for concern. If my system fails at all, I'll be sure to document it in a future video.
Hey can you please share the schematics and details of your project please.....
Very nice project. I like the idea of 2 servos in the gripper. If you share the CAD file I would appreciate it. Have a nice day
yoo dude. what do i need to make this to? i wanna try in my ps4 controller 1 circuit on vibration en 1 circuit on the sound I hope to hear from you
can you give me the code of this system in my emil and thank you so much for sharing this project
Awesome dude. I may try on mine too....
