Crepe Paper Oriental Poppies on Patreon
This month on Patreon, I am sharing how I create Oriental Poppies. From which papers I use, to colouring and shaping the petals, I will demonstrate each step in making this beautiful flower. The techniques shared will be useful when making other varieties of Poppies too.

This is just a very simple method for creating a crepe paper Pansy. You can of course add many more details with fine liners, markers, paint, Pan Pastels or using other kinds of paper. I’m using Lia Griffith heavy crepe paper for this Pansy and have slightly outstretched the paper prior to cutting out the petals. Carnation flower created from handdyed printer paper. Used Universal Pigment Ochre and Magenta Acrylic Ink. Brush the water and Ochre pigment onto your paper then add streaks of diluted Magenta for some natural colouration I used a 2.5cm foam ball and 18 gauge wire.
