We intentionally sandblasted this old wooden shutter with one goal in mind. To Destroy it. That is why we used the biggest sand granulometry.

I'm sorry to say this but the wood surface looks too rough after blasting. It should be smooth not textured the way it is. Based on my experience in grit blasting wood I would say you are using too coarse an abrasive and too much air pressure.

Unless the strength of the propelled air can be controlled, that sandblasting could deteriorate the wood a lot. I wont dare to use it on wood. Is more often used on metal I think. To remove paint from cars for example.
