Although the JoAnn's broom looks fuller, yours has a better presentation than theirs does. Something you might do with the battery pack for the lights is hide it inside the cup so it can't be seen from all sides.

I work at a small Target in Ohio and we've barely started putting our Halloween stuff out in the Dollar Spot but what we have has been flying off the shelves. I know the shelf we had those Frankenstein and pink witches cauldron on completely sold out within a day, so have those squished faced plush dogs in costumes. I think Target as well as other stores are going with these more cuties/less scary items ajd more pastel colors because they're trying to attract customers who aren't usually into Halloween. Aldo im thinking it's also these cuties pastel items are less frightening to kids and a way for some parents to introduce their kids into Halloween. Also you might want to check back at your local Target next week because I know mine will start setting some of the home decor items like door mats, etc on their front and back endcaps starting next week

TJ Maxx and Marshalls isn't the only ones doing more cuties/pastel Halloween items. Target also has been doing allot of that too that I've seen in their Bullseye's Playground section at tte front of the store. I think the stores are trying to do less scary and more softer colors/more neutral cuties things to attract customers who aren't into the scary gothic Halloween items. I'm not a big fan of pink but for some reason, I'm liking some of theses cuties (or can i say sort of vintage/retro) looking items. I could see parents buying things like this so they don't frighten their kids and get their kids into Halloween at an early age. To use a current TicTok trend, these softer Halloween colors and cuties items are very Demure LOL

I got the black cat picture too. I actually love it as it looks exactly like a cat I used to have, and in my opinion the quality is good… I did get 30% off though.

I’m disappointed in targets fall and Halloween dollar spot. Too pastely and not much fall at all.

Wow. I guess Target doesn't want any of my money this year. I'm getting a bit perturbed over this pastel nonsense. Retail stores have all year to push their gaudy pink crap. It's Halloween and we want our dark decor!!!

We at least have less gnomes, but too much pink. I like the crescent moon face with the florals, but maybe would change out the florals. Also, too much glitter and oil slick stuff.

I have not been to Target in months. I just never think of it when I'm in Traverse City. They really have so many cute items in the Dollar Spot. lol...those pastel colors though, just really remind me of spring. I especially loved the little ghosty.

Dollar General has some neon skeleton "Candy Bowls" for 3 dollars that ive already made into some really awesome flower pots

Well their selection was kinda blah, huh? Only thing I liked was the lair sign and skull tote bag. Don't think I'd purchase the bag though. I'm with you on online stuff. I'd rather see in person. Tfs, pea

I like the haunted house picture you picked out, truth be had if I could that's exactly the type of house I'd live in. I love the spooky looking old Victorian homes.

Unfortunately nothing I want to pick up this year-and they have had several Bullseye items for Halloween in previous years I wanted. I did think the face on the glitter jack 'o lantern was great(but I dislike glitter), the ghosties tassels on the hand towel were cute, and the sculpt on the ice cream cones was great. I would redo the cones in ceramic, have the cone portion a soft black, and the partially melted ice cream skull white.

Those Ice Cream Skull Cones are pretty wicked! I'd have to give them a different paint job, but for $3 that's an easy sale for me. Do you think they were thin enough plastic that an LED tea light would shine through? 🔥🖤🔥

Target doesn’t do it for me, the line feels more like Halloween/Easter colors. Too much glitter items and those glitter skulls look half done?? Some items would be cute for the little ones. The potion bottles are ok and can see removing the items inside and redoing them as a dyi prop for a mantle or display. Good luck getting the glitter off you, it will be there for weeks😂

If you don't like the black-painted bust, try to take some gold rub'n'buff and drybrush it on...I saw a picture of someone doing that to a Poe bust last year and it looked amazing! 😊

I almost bought the cauldron with witch hand but when I saw it in person, I just didn’t care too much for the rings on her fingers and the ruffles. It is a nice piece though but I just don’t have room for anymore pieces so I am really holding back! Did you see the few pieces from Target Threshold? I do love that they have two different size haunted houses but passed on them as I already own 2 from previous 2 years. They didn’t release the full line but it was exciting. Thanks for sharing your haul! You definitely grabbed some awesome pieces 💀

You got all the same things on my wish list including the ghost incense holder! What I did with mine is get one of the little flickering votive candle packs and shoving one in there and it actually looks really cute in my hallway. The whole body kinda lights up since he’s not super thick. The other thing I thought of doing is putting one of those little lightbulbs that you can put inside of a salt lamp, and kind of squeezing one in there, which would make it into a very charming little nightlight. Assuming it can handle the heat of a 4 watt bulb which I’m thinking should be OK, considering that the amount of heat coming from burning incense should be about the same. I will give it a shot even though that makes me think maybe I should buy a back up Ghostie just in case this one cracks with this experiment 😅 If it works, that will be one hell of an adorable nightlight, that I will keep out all year round 👏🏼👻

I love the cauldron w/the hand and the Poe bust. The cat print and the face changing prints are perfect!!! Great video!!

I got some of the same things. For the witch hand, I would paint her rings bronze ish gold, cauldron just needs depth so by hand paint and nails just a tad darker. Acrylic stain and a dry brush technique is all I plan on doing to the statue that sits.
