Hey!
Welcome to my channel. I hope you have enjoyed my current videos, and I hope you enjoy the ones to come. My channel is focused on two main themes. These are from just a few of my many projects, and if there is something you want to see, I'm always open to new project ideas! Secondly, I make aerial videos using a variety of small remote drones including the DJI Phantom, and two custom built setups. Here again, I am open to any creative ideas for production ideas! Thanks for watching my content, enjoy!

I couldn’t get it to work. My truck is a 2006 so I’m not sure if that has something to do with.
Good jobe
What if you dont have a garage remote
That was awesome!!! It took less than 30 seconds and I’ve been dreading the process 🎉
This did not work with our 2017 Yukon Denali. We do not have a remote for the garage opener.
Hi there The addin doesn't work anymore, pls help
My key pad stopped working. How do I program the car garage door opener and keeping the key pad enabled?
What if you don’t already have a remote can you still do it without it
Worked like a charm. Literally took less than 30 seconds. Thanks
192.168 The IP does not load on my phone (android). I have been struggling for weeks to update my 3 shelly units to the new wifi connection and so far I have was not able. Any help? thnx
Just got done installing one on my patio ceiling fans/lights. What a... challenge for such a tight space. Without this video, I'm not sure I would have attempted it, but your diagrams helped me understand the wiring, and the video showed me just what to expect. Thank you! Well done!
Great job! Thanks for your comment and feedback!
I can't find a learn button on my garage door opener...
Thanks 05 chevy tahoe works 1st try 😎
No problem 👍
Doesn't work
6 year old view. Yeah thanks I’m not watching
Just a FYI to keep the buzz to a minimum leave all the wires connected. And to get rid of the XM bleed through just go to channel zero.
Does this work for movies and tv shows?
Thank you so much - I didn't even read my manual your tutorial was awesome!
Will this work on an '06 GTO?
It did work well But when I try to program another remote for a different door it seems to erase the first one I did
There’s usually a different process just adding additional remotes, vs resetting and adding new. Depending on your vehicle, it’s usually very similar, just skipping a step or two.
I am unable to get my opener in the Jeep to flash rapidly
How were you able to integrate the Shelly relays with HomeKit? I've been looking for that information and it's tough to find.
I run Homebridge on a Raspberry Pi and installed the Shelly plugin. Homebridge acts as a bridge from non-HomeKit devices to HomeKit. Home Assistant is another option you could look at.
This worked thank you
You're welcome!
Great video. This worked for me.
Glad it helped!
this fuckin shit never works
Did you managed to make it work?
@@texerzyt9357 i forget how, but it had to be a different method. i don't know what the fuck it is, but garage door opener technology (read: very simple programming and weak radio signals) are exponentially worse than making office printers work. truly something to behold.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Didn’t work and I tried it several times
The buttons on both our cars suddenly just stopped working and now I’m not able to pair to either cars please help 🙏
Hi there! Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. My recommendation would be to look up how to reset your garage door opener, reset both cars, then try the process again.
@@nonscioap it was the circuit board that went bad was the problem, all good now thank you
Engineering
Woo!
Followed all the steps just won’t program get the freq of remote fast flash press learn on garage hold for 2 sec done this 6 times no luck
Shoot! I’m sorry to hear this isn’t working for you. Maybe there’s an incompatibility somewhere. I hope you sort it out!
the light under the home symbol thing in the car lights up red for me
Hmm. I’m not sure what that may indicate. Perhaps a fault or failure? You could try following the steps to reset all buttons first and see if that helps.
Ty my 1975 Lincoln towncar worked like a charm 😊😊
Woohoo!!
Best simplistic video tutorial ever. Thank you
I’m so glad you found this helpful!
Doesn’t work, 2004 Suburban. Never recognizes the remote after entering programming stage.
Dang! Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Sometimes it takes several (10-15) attempts to get it to sync properly. If it’s still not working after that, there may be some incompatibility.
My remotes are either non functional or lost. Is there any way to still program my opener to my car?
Hi, yes! The easiest would be to purchase new remotes that are compatible with your opener model. You should be amble to find these fairly easily online or at a hardware store. Once you have the new remote(s) you can program it, the use it to program your vehicle!
Thanks a lot...it is helpful
Most welcome!

By far the best video explaining how to install, great for showing sparkies that have no idea what a shelly is, the diagrams are great
I’m very glad you found my video helpful! Thanks for the feedback :)
Great video! I’m not new to electrical work, but just getting on the Shelly train with my new home - this was very helpful to get context before I popped open the box! Quick safety tip, especially in +2 gang boxes (but I still do it for single switch boxes), it’s recommended to tape around those contact screws with electrical tape. There is a lot going on in there between the Shelly switch & the 2 gang switches, it’s always possible over time for wires to bump up against other exposed wire or those contacts. It’s especially helpful for you or any other person servicing that switch box. Also, @theaustindude is right, but for all intensive purposes, it’s okay to label the wires using correct electrical tape color. That way if you are not the person servicing the box, it will be easy / safe to understand what’s going on in there. Hopefully that’s not too long of an explanation or annoying to hear from a fellow electrical DIY’er, cause I really did like video 😊
Your feedback and suggestions are much appreciated! Your ideas will help others who come across this comment :) Thanks for sharing!
Worked like a charm
Hooray!
This used to work -but for some d*** reason it won't work on my new 2023 Lincoln Corsair.
Darn! I’ve found the process to vary slightly with different vehicles.
what wire gauge should use, maybe a 12 gauge?
Any standard speaker wire would work. I think this is usually 16 or 18 gauge.
@@nonscioap Ok, great! Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the video, can you perhaps explain what happens when you turn the light on with the app and you flip the switch on and off? Same if you turn the lights on with the switch and then turn it off with the app? is this even possible? Thanks
Hi! Yes, I’m happy to explain how that works. Situation 1 (Switch off, turn lights on from app): With the light on and the switch in the off position, turning the physical switch on has no effect. Light stays on. When turning the switch back to off, the light turns off and app updates accordingly. Situation 2 (Switch on, turn lights off from app): This is just the reverse of the situation above. With the lights off from the app and the switch in the on position, turning the switch off has no effect. Turning it back to on will turn the lights on and on state will be reflected in the app. I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this information, this has been precisely the info I have been trying to find. I'm going to be ordering one now!
Mine is not working and neither is it turning orange right away when I press the two buttons. Is it possible that I have a short somewhere or maybe I need to replace the fuse? It never turns orange at all no matter what buttons I press.
If the lights never turn on, I would suspect a fuse issue.
Worked on my 2006 Acura TL ( which is essentially an Accord ) but unfortunately not on my 2001 Honda Odyssey. I lost my owner's manuals that is why I have to look online for setting up the garage opener. It is kind of weird since both came from the same company.
It's not working, tried red button in garage went back car push button no flashing respond that it's connected
I tried this on my 08 Chevrolet avalanche in 07 Chevrolet Monte Carlo it didn’t work
Hi! I’m sorry to hear this isn’t working for you. Sometimes it takes a few tries (10+ is not unheard of) to get them to sync. If your opener is not compatible then it may not work at all. Good luck!
Ok thanks I’ll try it a few times
Another top-class video by Nonscio! Keep up the good work!
Many thanks!
I have followed your directions, and I appreciate the video but it’s not working for my car. The directions in the owners manual or slightly different and I tried them also but still no luck. I have a 2010 Buick Lucerne and I have a new Chamberlain C2212T opener. I’m starting to think it is not compatible. Is there anywhere I can find a list know for sure? And any other ideas on what to try? Thanks
Hi Doug, sometimes it can take several attempts (10+ is not unheard of) to get the signal to pair. I quickly looked at the specs and features of the model you provided and it says: “Compatibility Bridge™ (not included) necessary for certain vehicles. Visit bridge.chamberlain.com to find out if a Bridge is needed” I hope that you get it working!
Shouldn't you be using different color wires for the various parts of the circuit?
Hi! Using different color wires for different parts of the circuit is an excellent suggestion! The relay has labels for what each wire is, but different colors would make it even easier to see at first glance.
How do I do this without a transmitter. I programmed my older GMC Yukon without having the transmitter and it was very easy. I recently purchased a newer Jeep, and it's just working. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi! There may be a way to do it without a remote (I have not done it this way before), but you could inexpensively purchase a remote online, pair it with your opener, then follow these steps. Good luck!
