Crazy story with the pen theft. 😭 I've lost two pen packages in the mail (one also thanks to UPS), and that feeling of knowing that the courier service won't do jack to investigate properly or compensate you is truly devastating. I was so extremely grateful that the maker of one of those pens (Newton Pens) was willing to help me out by sending a second pen. I'm glad that Dromgoole's was so understanding as well. They seem like wonderful people over there.

I bought the rainbow A6 Hon too - not bc I needed it but bc I loved the cover. But I got it in Japanese bc then I won’t have to re-number the dailies, just the monthlies.

I don't know if you are aware of this or not but if you had purchased that Estie as the cartridge converter style rather than the button piston filler style, you could also have purchased an Esterbrook MV Nib Adapter which would have allowed you to put that vintage Esterbrook nib from your vintage Estie on your brand new Esterbrook pen. The adapter works on cartridge converter style Esties and Estie Oversized. It won't work on other Esterbrook models or the button piston filler. It retails for $40 on the Esterbrook website and there is a description and video of how it works. Your favorite pen retailer probably carries it also, often at a small discount. Please don't take this as me telling you that you bought the wrong pen. As an Esterbrook lover, I love the button piston filler Estie I have. But, like you, I don't like fooling with the filling mechanism on the vintage Esties. I buy the new model and they are the most comfortable pens for me to write with. And I do like the different colorways. So, I guess what I'm suggesting is that you go buy another Esterbrook Back to the Land in another color in the cartridge converter style and pick up the MV Nib Adapter at the same time so you can use your vintage nib on your new pen. You might find yourself wanting to acquire other vintage Esterbrook nibs to put on your modern Estie. Just another rabbit hole for us fountain pen lovers to jump down!😊😉😘

You mentioned you had a few pictures in your 5-year techo for your son. This is something i have been wondering about because i really want to get a 5 year but i have seen those terrifying videos where the 5 years binding does not hold up if you add stickers and pics etc. So it is fine if i add the occasional picture or postcard?

It was lovely to hear about your experiences in the pen show and the things your kids picked. I liked their choices :) Your mini penroll was soooo cute. I did not see that when I went to their booth but I felt dazed after seeing too many things. The kiss-cut sticker roll was neat. I saw them but did not know about that feature. The pen your daughter got from Rubato was beautiful. I was told that the cap/pen section flowers are real pressed flowers and weeds. The flex pen she had was unique, she had put a unique feed on top of the nib to give enough ink to avoid railroading which is common in flex pens. Do you remember how much you paid for the pen from Rubato? Your plotter looked stunning!! The lines and the crowds were overwhelming after the doors opened for the public, it must have been easy to have missed the long line of people waiting for the plotter table 🙃

MP is out of business and the other is CRAZY expensive and only has 9 items in stock. Oh well....

Hey! It's been a really long time since I saw your content! I'm happy you have been working on yourself and on your plans/thoughts, but I really missed your videos ahahha. An indication that I would do if it was on your interest, is that I belive you could try to find other kind of series that envolve your same enthusiasm with stationery artifacts but without needing to by more of then, like tips to organize your plans etc. Please, don't stop creating contente here, this shoud recieve more recognition, the world needs your creativity!!! Ahahah
