Back in the early AM GB days, we tended to get the unwanted leftovers from the States of what wasn't selling. The Pace reminds me too of my Pearce Simpson, it'll end up being a favourite 23 channel...

@ sorry I forgot to say didn’t Pearce and Simpson actually do a 23 channel tiger of some kind ( not sure if that’s what they actually called it ) I’m sure I saw it for sale on the EBay USA a few weeks back i love rigs like that ! Cheers 👍

I love it mate, I have the Cobra version too, same radio but badged up Cobra 50XLR. I have the Cobra 47XLR, too which is AM/FM radio with 40 CB channels too! I've got another Midland coming in soon. It's very rare. Something I've never seen before! It's a 77-899. Thanks for your comment...

Yeah, that would make my day too Kevan! But lately All I’ve been getting skip from is America and Hawaii I haven’t really been getting even Australia which is odd But Hope to hear some United Kingdom would be great.👍

​@@gordonlowe8473we get plenty of Americans just now. It's fantastic to talk with them. Plenty of strong Australian stations yesterday late morning, but still waiting on some action from New Zealand! It will happen soon I'm sure. I check Cluster DX from time to time, to see if anyone from there is making it across to European countries, but very little happening just yet!

@williamn01 this style mic are good to hold, and they work very well. I've got the Realistic power mic somewhere? I'll try and find the thing today... I like the TRC-474. Nice fairylights.

@alanslade2319 Hey Alan, thanks for the well wishes mate. They aren't a bad basic radio. A lot can be done to them too. They are Cybernet and as you say. There are very similar radios to then, just with a different name on.. Cheers for dropping the comment.

@@themaryjayneexperience5427 Yes, this is from that same batch of radios. They were never NOS, but the majority of them in excellent cosmetic condition, many had and still have faults. They were all destined to be returned to Cybernet under warranty repair, but Gammond Stereo. The Swiss company who were selling them went out of business. A container sat for many years full of them. They finally resurfaced a couple of years ago. They are good radios, but certainly not new old stock...

@themaryjayneexperience5427 it's pretty accurate mate, i work with romanian guys, and they spoke at length with the guy who bought the container from Switzerland. I was wve told what he paid, and what he was initially going to sell it on for lol. He's so glad he didn't

@ItsRael108 hi, thanks for your comments. The Craig were a good American company. They produced some great radios . The L232 is a Uniden built set, very much like the Stalker XX base, and the Land Command LCBS-8. My first rig was a Sharp little window, model CB-2460

@gordonlowe8473 Wow, brilliant Gordy. That's a good contact to make, and on the little 23 channel, too! The Cobra works really well, but it is not a radio I go mad about. I must get the Bases set up again very soon. As you'll see, I've made a start with a Realistic TRC-490. I hope you make some more contacts very soon, mate..

@alanslade2319 Alan, you're absolutely bang on what you're saying, mate. This old stuff is running low power into half decent amps that stand the test of time Blow the finals in a high power radio. you're out of action, unlessyou mighthave anothercoupleof hundred sets laying around the place?.. not everyone has. Best let the amp do the hard work.. It's like having a different and barking yourself. I run low radio watts, and get good barefoot contacts, but when called for, I have the capability to run a 2 pill. And also it can drive a selection of tube amps i have. So final word is, your antenna is your best friend.. Nice comment, cheers Alan 🍻

@ yesssir, Got it from My Old BMX Bike Mongoose it had the GOOSENECK Neck on it and At 11yrs old I said yup I’m Gooseneck & it’s been for over 30yrs. looking forward to Working ur Station again. 73’s the Goose are loose 🤣 Maybe catch ya in the AM on 27.3750 I’ll be listening. ✌️
