    I have just bought the Erbauer EMIS254S, however the method shown in this video doesn't really adjust the rear fence as other brands do, the holes are just hole to take the fixing bolts and not elongated in anyway so to slide back and forth to square the fence properly like on other brand machines. The fence on mine is approximately 3-4mm out of square but I cant find anywhere even in the manual on how to set the machine up for square etc. Anybody have any ideas how the Erbauer EMIS254S adjusts?

    • @xavierayayaell546
      @xavierayayaell546 3 місяці тому

      I have the same issue right now, the fence does not really allow adjustment. I got fed up with it the other day getting nowhere, but I next plan to see if the detainer plate at the bottom (shiny plate with the angle markings on it at the bottom, don't know if I'm calling it the right name) can be loosened and move around slightly to square things up that way. It's basically been useless at this point as a mitre saw in any way, only any good for cutting 3x2" to length, which I could do with a hand saw anyway.

      @@xavierayayaell546 It's pretty frustrating isn't it!!! I also looked at the silver mitre gauge to see if it was just a case of sliding that left or right to alter the locking points slightly, but again they just look like they have a hole pretty much the same size of the fixing screw rather than being elongated for adjustment. I am considering drilling the holes on the back plate to allow more movement on the fixing bolts, At the moment there's only around 2mm play so by drilling the hole maybe 2mm larger that would give around 4mm play, maybe even drill the mitre gauge holes by 1mm also which will give a little more flexibility? Im finding it a very poor featureless option that you don't really have an option as standard to be able to calibrate the machine which with any kind of machine like this is a must feature to allow accurate cutting. I understand the Erbauer EMIS254S is a more budget friendly option? However I don't think the inclusion of such a basic feature would make the machine anymore costly to produce. Maybe there is another option somewhere on the Erbauer EMIS254S to enable adjustment? I am just trying the general options available on other brand machines. The fact nobody seems to be able to find any information on how to adjust the machine sort of tells me that it's not an option? This lack of such a basic requirement is in my view a huge reason why somebody would not purchase this brand of machine which is a shame as its quite a good machine to use other than this, also at a price over £200 UK price it's not one of the cheapest available. The mane reason I purchased the Erbauer EMIS254S was primarily the double bevel feature which is generally only available on more expensive machines.

      You have probably already done this, and apologies if you have. Did you follow the instructions in the saw’s manual. The only other suggestion I have is, try using a set of grips rather than a spanner, as they will give you more purchase on a stripped nut. Hi, thanks for this vid, I'm trying to get the blade level to the base at a 90. The bevel guide you "just unscrew and move it to zero" (5:30) can't surely be the sole way to set the bevel right angle to the blade? Mine's on 0 degrees and it's clearly out.

      Sorry for the delay getting back, I’ve not been very well for a while, hence the lack on videos. Once you’ve got everything as it should be with the beginning section in the video, and you’re happy that the blade is 90• to the bed. The last thing you do is, unscrew the degree indicator (which may not even need to be adjusted) to zero, and then retighten the screw. This doesn’t physically alter the angle of the blade or base, you’re just setting the indicator back where it should be, if it needs to be, after you have reset everything else. Hope this helps? 💂‍♂️🇬🇧

      Sorry for the very late reply, I’ve not been too well for a while, so haven’t done anything on social media. If I remember, (as I’m at work so this is from memory) to the left of the guard there is a large’ish black screw, I’m guessing this is to alter the angle of the guard. There is a sliding guide underneath the screw: Undo that. Lift the guard slightly. Re-tighten the screw. You may have to do this a few times until the clearance is enough but not too much. Let me know how you get on.

    • @Cerys-Playz
      @Cerys-Playz 2 роки тому

      I've just had the same issue. There are 3 screws to the rear of the saw and the red end of the bevel catch also unscrews. Inside there you use a 19mm socket to tighten the outer nut. Job done

    • @Cerys-Playz

      Lift the blade guard and you'll find a black screw to the left side, undo that and you'll be able to slide the blade guard out of the way, revealing the hex screw so you can then remove it and proceed with the blade change.

    Morning all. I work for Kingfisher group as the quality manager for power tools and this is one of my range of tools. Erbauer is one of Kingfishers own brand tools. It was very interesting to watch this video and looks like you're enjoying using the tool. In answer to the lever question, bevel and mitre can be locked/released from the front of the saw, without having to reach to the rear of the tool. The circular button keeps the mitre unlocked to allow quick adjust but it always should be sucured for the cut by using the red lever at the end. Looks like you're using the MacAllister stand in the video. There is also an Erbauer one available that has wheels, a greater weight capacity and can be collapsed easily.

      Hello Paul, maybe you could help. I'm very frustrated because I have this saw, and the screws have stripped because I've changed the blade many times. I have been to a half dozen stores, and no one has any idea how I can order these screws, and Erbauer has no Polish website. I have a business and use this saw a lot, and I have a few other Arbauer products... I had a similar issue with the jigsaw, but it is a normal nut, so I was able tk buy a replacement. I also wanted to buy a third miter saw, ~500mm, but they are very hard to find right now. Maybe I could order one?
