Mannn... Sharmell was beautiful.
ECW ads with hotlines stating "Kids Must get Parents Permission" Anyone seeing the problem here?
This host was not funny like he thought plus was paid wayyyyyy too much money
His talk show gave Wrestlers and Hip Hop a voice
51:20 Kathy really found Undertaker attractive despite the age difference and her being married
Just watching the first one with Macho Man Randy Savage and I’m reminded of 2 very important pieces of magic and are sorely missing from today’s wrestling. 1. Over the top larger than life characters. Which made wrestling more magical than boxing, or MMA. Where everyone were different and unique and captivated you. Unlike today, where everyone are the same. 2. Wrestlers that had the charisma and mic skills to perform like greatest showmen on the planet and you were just fixed to everything they were saying and thru didn’t need scripts and scripts from former Hollywood Writers and kids fresh off their creative writing degrees that know nothing about wrestling. And 3. Wrestlers protected kayfabe, back then. By this time, people knew it was scripted. I’ll never say fake, having been in the ring myself and knowing the difference between scripted and fake. But it didn’t matter. Wrestlers still protected kayfabe. Today, these Wrestlers go on a talk show in a suit and be themselves and blow kayfabe wide open and it’s boring. Look at Savage. He went on a talk show in full costume, stayed in character, protected kayfabe, and hyped up his feud with Hogan and their match at Wrestlemania 5. Look at Bad News Brown. He was Stone Cold before Steve Austin and the Attitude Era. And so did many of the others on there. They did the same. Come out in full costume, stayed in character, and protected kayfabe. That’s how you plug wrestling. Not smiling and wearing a suit and being your dull self. Nobody wants to see that. These were magical days in wrestling that I grieve for like a lost loved one. And it’s why wrestling was better then and why way more people watched it then.
Every time I see Joanie now all I can think of is what X-Pac said about her when he was on the "hoe bag" podcast on UA-cam... permanent brain marker...!
😂 how much is Arsenio appreciating Macho Man? He's giggling his ass off, he gets it!
34:19 Both Sammartino vs Hansen bouts billed as August 7 1976. This one is the comeback match after the broken neck incident in April. Hansen had so much heat Vince Snr sent him to temporarily tour of Japan where Bruno was a big star. The notoriety he gained in the press for crippling Bruno made him more feared and a big star there . He eventually broke away from Vince Snr, made his own bookings in Japan and made himself a huge career and a massive crowd favourite.
looks intresting
The first interview with macho man was in my opinion the best look the whole appearance he had off all time when he fought hogan and during the mega powers run he looked and acted what a professional wrestler should look like
BAXTER CAIN!
57:29 lol
56:42 aaaaaarghhhhh lol
He was totally legit and was massively respected by his peers and the fans.
This is jive. Ron Garvin was over big when he was pursuing Flair for the title. He was an immensely talented wrestler, super tough, a great performer and should be in the Hall of Fame.
GREAT JOB
Very enjoyable. Thank you!
Great work. I love this type of stuff.
Wait. Was the original plan for Bad Blood 2003's main event supposed to be Triple H vs Goldberg?
What was originally planned for Austin had he stayed with the WWE for Vengeance 2002?
I didn't even notice that was Scarlett in the video. I did notice Shelly Martinez is the woman who ends up with Cheerleader Melissa at the end.
I'm here because I saw Sandman in the thumbnail. I am not leaving disappointed. 😂
Not to nitpick because this was an amazing video. But that Saturday Night's Main Event commercial promoting the Roberts vs Savage match was actually from February 92. The first SNME on Fox.
These were the good times…I remember and I miss them…
Good times!
Best time to be not only a WWE fan but a wrestling fan in general.
“Big waste uh beer” 😂😂❤
That Lawler Idol match was in 87
Didn't realize The Onion was that old!
Hell considering who we got now I'd vote for him
They called him the brain for a reason.
although the bad news brown one is my favorite, the zeus one his hilarious watching zeus fight for his life to not break out laughing.
Wwf nbc MTV era was cool best
I worked with Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji, The Undertaker, HHH, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Bret and Owen Hart....During the Heart Attack Tour. Interesting humans...but Diesel and The Undertaker took a liking to me and I realized they were good people. I also partied with Owen-who was, a WilD man.Bret was mellow but the rest of their family were "out there."
That appearance of Robert Vaughn asking Yoko, "Well, after the applause dies down and your left with nothing to drown out the howling hounds of your past. Nothing to wrap around yourself but the lies you've told so many times that even you start to believe them. Where do you go? What do you do?" Kinda reminds me of a Stan Lee cameo lol
29:57 what song is that?
Where's the one with HHH and Harry Conick JR?
In 1975or76ive only watched the away or away
I'm grateful to have grown up in this era of wrestling. 11 year old me loved this shit in 99.
This was fantastic. Thanks for this.
1:30 I thought it was Mable in the sky then I realised it was Barney 😂😂😂😂
Vince McMahon is a legend
Like the Boogeyman or El Chupacabra
The Slammer was VINCE under the mask
The mr t segment, if you look at his hat, I think he had to turn it inside out because it said something that they didn't want it on tv, so he turned his hat inside out
Latey I been going back to the 80s wrestling from when I was kid -- thx for posting these. I remember some of these!
needs more danhaussen
this video really highlights while i will always love lawler. he 100% GOT IT when it came to wrasslin'. i'm of the age where i only really know him feuding with bret hart and screaming PUPPIES on commentary, but i've watched a lot of the older stuff (once the internet became a widely used thing). i wish i coulda watched a young lawler live.
got to love terry what a tit
Dusty booked himself to be top salesman.
I do believe that the shorter of the two security guards on the Goldust segment, was the dad in the "Adventures of Pete and Pete" ❤
